ERFA with added iodine
Hiya.I have recently sourced a batch of ERFA via a private pharmacy, but after reading the fine print on the bottle, I have noticed it also contains 0.2 % of iodine. I thought this would be counterproductive, as iodine supplementation is not recommended with hypothyroidism? I am now concerned about

sea moss
my 30 year old daughter had been treated for hypothyroidism for the last 8 years and takes 125 mcg Liothyronine. Recently a friend in Hong Kong where she lives as suggested sea moss supplement and she feels she has more energy and less brain fog. I’m concerned about the iodine in it but other components

Your thoughts please
I was diagnosed with bilateral toxic nodules causing hyperthyroidism in Sept 22. I responded well to treatment and now take 5mg Carbimazole every other day. My endo is now pushing for definitive treatment. RAI is not an option for me and stopping meds clearly won’t work. Removing an otherwise healthy

Hot thyroid nodule on underside of the thyroid.
I have been left with a hot thyroid nodule on the underside left of my thyroid following an operation. I have insomnia, slower speech, forgetting to turn taps off, slower brain function. I would like to have radioactive iodine 131 treatment to kill off the nodule. Is there anyone in the community that

The Iodine Debate

Problems with Teva?
Hi I am new on here. Never done this before. I have graves disease which was treated with radioactive iodine in 2013. Since then I have been taking Accord Levothyroxine with no problems. Two months ago the pharmacy gave me Teva I didn't think anything of it. Since then I have gradually become very ill

Graves disease Auto Immune Diet
Hello again. All has settled with tablets. Thyroid levels are normal again, so my Carbimazole dose has been reduced by half to 5 mg per day. I just wondered if anyone had tried any Thyroid diet plans with success. Not necessarily to lose weight, though I've put nearly a stone on with ATD but more

Safe to Take Iodine?
Hi all, I've had thyroid tests which all came back as normal except I had what appears to be elevated FT4 levels, 3 endocrinologists have reassured me that I do not have hyperthyroidism. They emphasized the importance of considering all test results together. I'm underweight, struggling to gain weight

I posted this query a few days ago and it was kindly analysed for me by greygoose (comments further down). However, I didn't understand what he/she was telling me - so I wonder if anyone could explain for me? Do the results indicate hypothyroidism? Do I need meds or can I tweak via

Within range bloods - can someone confirm please?
Hi all, After being diagnosed with atrial fibrillation five years ago and an ambiguous NHS blood test showing possible hypothyroid symptoms I decided, as my diet is mostly plant based, to take a vegan multivitamin/mineral including iodine. I had a private thyroid test done a few months later which
