I coughed up a little blood last august and thinking that I could possibly have an eneurism, I was sent to A&E. An x-ray showed a shadow in the lower left lobe of the lung. Because I was fit and healthy in all other respects I was treated for pneumonia and discharged with antibiotics but with a follow-up

Hello I have recently visited a natural health practitioner specialising in kinesiology. Reputation locally appears strong. In addition to hypothyroidism I have real issues with haemorrhoids & I was hoping that this route could help with any underlying gut issues that may be contributing to this problem

High TSH (which keeps rising over the years) and consistently high T4 for 7 years with no major symptoms.
Hi, Over the last 7 years, my TSH has kept rising from around 5.88 and now it is at 11.9. My T4 has stayed consistently high at between 19 and 20 throughout this time. My antibodies test are normal with nearly non-existent antibodies and my T3 was normal in the middle of the range. All my other blood

types of salts and iodine
Edit: thank for all the responses. It looks like when the salt is iodised, it would be stated on the packaging. Himalayan, Celtic and sea salt contain iodine naturally whereas rock salt doesn’t. I use Bart’s rock salt and they confirmed it’s non iodised. hi, I Have Graves so should avoid iodine. Does

Tapioca in gluten free products/reduces iodine absorption?
Hi I’ve just discovered, in a roundabout way, that tapioca can affect iodine absorption,so not advised for those with thyroid issues. I don’t know scientifically about this, just thought I’d mention on here. I have a type 1 latex allergy, have been on a gluten free diet to improve thyroid, but noticed

Iodine, anyone?
Researching Iodine supplementation. Theres a couple of fascinating books on the subject. Iodine is a very powerful element in regards to its effect on the human body. It seems like most of the people of the world are Iodine deficient Adding Iodine to salt, according to the books, does absolutely zilch

Had anyone tried LDN?
I've been clear of all medicine for the last couple of years. However, my latest MRI of my hands and wrists has shown lots of inflammation around the tendons and bones in my hand. My rheumatologist wants me to start taking steroids and then other immune suppressants further down the road. I have many

Gingko Biloba - Supplement Advice
Hello everyone, I'm reaching out for advice on using Ginkgo Biloba to combat brain fog. My previous experience with the Amitamin Ginkgo complex yielded promising results in boosting mental clarity. However, I've noticed it contains iodine (150ug), which I'd rather steer clear of. With that in mind
