New Paradigm for PC "Newbies"

biopsy

Non small cell carcinoma in lung.
I have recently been diagnosed with non small cell carcinoma of the lung by the Royal Brompton. They sent a letter to my GP requesting an urgent 2 week referral to local oncology, GP surgery said they hadn't received the part of the letter asking for the referral. I emailed them a copy as they requested

length of time for biopsy results
Hi, had a partial lung lobectomy and lymph node removal, was told
biopsy
results would be back in 7-10 days. It’s now been 41 days and I’ve heard nothing.

Uro and Surgeon Recommending Focal Cryoablation
After confirming my pc diagnosis via
biopsy
was accurate, I have been looking at various treatments. Based on location and size of my tumor, I am currently scheduled for focal therapy using cryoablation. Any thoughts pro or con would be appreciated. E.

I had a huge tumor removed last week; now waiting for the
biopsy
results. A second surgery is planned to removed the womb, other ovary and lymph nodes, just in case of spread, though the surgeon is confident that he got the whole tumor out in one and only one other patch was found on the urethra.

April 2023 Update
I can’t get a needle
biopsy
until late August 2023. I’m not worried about that at this point. At the moment I feel like I am walking down a road on a sunny day, happy but fully aware that I’m being stalked by a very big black bear that could jump out at me at any point in the road.

Update on Nuclear Scan and where I am at now.
First: thank you all for the kind support I have received since - Much appreciated. To the Nuclear Scan ordered by my GP for suspect spread from bladder cancer to the bones. I got a call from my GP surgery today telling me Dr wanted to let me know, NO bone cancer found. Thant's one worry gone.

ERA test on natural cycle results
I just got my era test result, the
biopsy
was performed on day 7 after ovulation, and the test came back post-receptive so I need to do the transfer 24 hours earlier. Is this my answer?

HRT and MPN
I've just had my bonemarrow
biopsy
and will have those results in a few weeks time. My platelet levels are in the 600 mark and my red blood cell count is around 178. I have been on transdermal hrt for around 6 months and it's been a game changer in symptoms for me.

Blackpool and now. just waiting.
We went to Blackpool and the weather was good (Really) - Seems good to get away for a while, been a long year. The hotel was nice and had entertainment in the evening, which is good. I have had all my treatments thus far - I have had my 'Nuclear scan" on my bones. Now it's a matter of waiting

Yesterday I had my 2nd BMB ( 8 yrs between the first and second) Yes I was anxious , although not as anxious as the first. I just wanted to reassure those out there who are terrified at the thought. It really isn't bad. Yes there might be some pain and discomfort but only for 30 secs perhaps 1 minute
