Anyone with a BA baby had difficulty with potty training?
My daughter has
Biliary
Atresia
and is one of twins (her sister does not have BA). We have noticed that Sophie is always slower in her development but it is now 9 months since her sister mastered the potty and we are still struggling with Sophie.

Any one had any experience with claiming against critical illness policy for child who had biliary atresia and then a transplant?
The only reason I ask is that on my policy it mentions that children are covered as part of the policy, and they could pay out up to £25,000, which I never knew until I had my policy docs through and had a quick skim through them. If they would pay out, there may be many other people in this position

My baby was diagnosed with biliary atresia at 6 weeks got a Kasai at 7weeks, it has been such a scarey and emotional journey.
He is now 4 weeks post Kasai and doing really well feeding and gaining weight. I would love to hear some positive outcomes as all I am hearing is negative, I have google it and its just seems so scarey. Xx

Travel insurance for child with biliary atresia
Hi, am the mother of a seven month who has
biliary
atresia
, and had a Kasai at 6 weeks. We are planning to go on holiday, and I normally get annual travel insurance. I was wondering whether anyone can recommend a good travel insurance company, dealing with pre existing medical conditions.

Living with Biliary Atresia
Andrew is 10 years. He's only had a Kasai. He has portal hypertension, a big spleen which is still growing and recently we've been told he now has a large nodule on his liver which means attending hospital every 3 months. None of this stops my son from living the life he wants. He belongs to a football

Hi I'm Diane and my eldest son Daniel was born with Biliary Atresia, had a Kasai at 7 wks but at 6 years old needed a Liver Transplant.
He has been very well since the transplant. Two years after transplant he was diagnosed as being Autistic. He starts Secondary school in September. He will be a teenager in November and I wonder how he will deal with various issues.
