Update 7.7
I am a proponent of the low and slow approach to
Besremi
dose titration. My care team has concurred with this approach thus far. I feel much better with my iron levels higher, so I am hoping that the
Besremi
dose increase will be both effective and tolerable.

PCV besremi and low platelets
Given the trend it’s hard to say it was spurious reading My oncologist at MGH said to pause my
Besremi
for a few weeks and see if there is any recovery.

besremi or jakafi
The MD suggested we look at both
Besremi
and Jakafi. I’ve been combing through the product profiles and am finding myself wondering how to decide which one to go forward with. I understand that one is an injectable, so that might be a choosing point for some.

Besremi Question
Hello all, I have been on
Besremi
therapy for a year and 3 months. My numbers have shown nice improvement. I started at a burden of 78% and down 32% all other blood work staying steady. My question is does anyone experience muscle and bone pain?

Update 7.8
Besremi
increased to 175mcg on 11/22/23. As of 12/15, HCT is basically stable at 45.4% following two increased doses of
Besremi
175mcg. HGB is stable at 14.7. PLT is down to 235, the lowest it has ever been but not a concern.

Jak2 and Besremi reduction
My latest test results continue to show a reduction in JAK2 (56% to 24%) since I started
Besremi
in February 2022. The downward trend was slow at first, but I'm happy it continues to drop. I'm at 150 mg.

Hydroxyurea vs Besremi
Which drug is considered less toxic on the body - hydroxyurea or
besremi
? My MPN specialist put me on hydroxyurea a few years ago with the plan to switch over to
besremi
in a couple of months. I did get insurance approval for the
besremi
a long time ago but I've been hesitant to make the switch.

Starting Rux Next Month
After five years of phlebotomy only with PV I started
besremi
two years ago at the minimum dose since I wanted to take a more early intervention approach. Also my platelets were extremely high from all of the phlebs. Been on max dose of
besremi
now for over a year.

Besremi or Jakafi coverage on Medicare?
Anyone on here have Medicare coverage for either of these drugs? I just went online and see that the cost would be about $3,500 a year. Thanks!

Traveling with Besremi or Pegasys
I recently had similar concerns as I accidentally left my fridge door open and the temperature of my
Besremi
increased to 13C, well above the recommended 2 to 8C.

Besremi clinical trial opportunity
My Dr thinks I'd qualify for a clinical study on
Besremi
for ET. I don't think this drug is available in Canada yet, so this may be a unique opportunity.

Besremi & depression
I began
Besremi
about 4 months ago and at first I felt more like myself than I have in quite awhile. The past month or two I'e felt some depression, feeling blue and generally very low on energy.

My Last (IFN) Dose, my Fateful Decision One Year Ago
In the Euro label Sjo is the only (non-thyroid) A-I listed as “common” (1-10% pts) on page 9 here: https://www.ema.europa.eu/en/documents/product-information/
besremi
-epar-product-information_en.pdf At least Sjo is at the lower end of common.

Besremi and Afib
I never had Afib before but as my
Besremi
dosage has recently been increased, it seems like I am more fatigued and my watch is telling me I have a high percentage of Afib incidents. Going to a cardiologist to check but I do understand that
Besremi
can contribute to afib.

Update 7.9 = Good News
The
Besremi
dose increase to 175mcg appears to have done the trick. As of the last CBC, HCT is back at target (HCT = 44.9%). Neutrophils came back up to reference range (NEUT = 1.60). The mild lymphopenia remains stable and acceptable.
