Catheter ablation, or not?
I was diagnosed with Atrial Tachycardia three months ago. I am currently on 5 mg of Nebivolol each day. I am getting occasional small runs of rapid heart beats every few days largely only in the night and haven't had a full on 'episode' of 200 bpm for a month (I've had about 5 of them) - when the episodes

Catheter ablation
Hi I have had atrial flutter for a number of years and on medication. I do not have any problems that I know of with chest or breathing etc. Had cardioversion a year ago which worked for 3 weeks. My heart rate is still quite fast and the medication I am on has to stop and be replaced by a different drug

An excellent video about catheter ablation
Learn about what catheter ablation is and how it's used to treat atrial fibrillation (AFIB). Doctors and cardiologists from the Cleveland Clinic describe the catheter ablation procedure, what it is, how it's done and what results can be expected from this surgery. https://youtu.be/SZ_uIfj-hIQ

AV node ablation
Does anyone know if the recovery rate from an
AV
node
ablation
six weeks after a pacemaker implant, takes the same time as other ablations. I wondered as it’s more straightforward and takes much less time, it might not take so long to recover.

Post Cardiac Ablation Tiredness
Hello, I'm new to the community and I'm here to learn and share. I have a question. I had a cardiac ablation for atrial flutter in June this year (2019) and 3 months later I'm still having days where I cannot stop yawning and feel tired. Has anyone experienced the same? Is this normal? Any advice is

Spire Leeds or LGI for catheter ablation
Good morning - anyone had experience of a catheter ablation at either Spire Leeds or LGI and who was your EP? Trying to decide which route to take and who to have do the procedure - anyone any experience of Dr Lee Graham or Dr Chris Pepper? I wonder too if the catheter lab at LGI would be much better

Advice on Afib after Catheter Ablation
I am new here Im 57 Male and i have had paroxysmal Afib for about 2 years. My episodes consist of a heart rate in the 150 to 100 usually all over the place for about 6 hours then i convert back to sinus rhythm. unfortunately when i would convert i would have long pauses, the longest one was 7 seconds

Palpations after Cardiac ablation!
I had a Cardiac ablation in Jan 18 Pre procedure I had 50 Ectopic heartbeats a day, now I have between 3-4000 and rising, can the Ablation be the cause and what's the treatment for it, I also get very short of breath?

Catheter ablation: NHS vs private?
Is it significantly safer to have a catheter ablation in an NHS hospital rather than a private one? I am fortunate to have health insurance through my work so I have the option to go private if it speeds things up. I understand it's a relatively safe procedure but wondered if anyone else had made this

Pacemaker for persistent AF?has anyone had a pacemaker for AF
I think the consultants are thinking about
ablation
of the
AV
node
which I am totally against, so my question is does anyone have a pacemaker for persistent AF without the AV node ablated and if so how does that work Thank you

My AF journey takes a turn for the better?
As posted previously I was scheduled for a
AV
node
ablation
since pacing was only effective 65% of the time. Post ablation my heart rate was set at 90bpm with 2 further pacing adjustments planned stepping my pacing after a month down to 75bpm and then at the end of another month down to 60bpm.

Exhausted newbie
Hi all, I've been put onto a low dose of Bisoprolol (1.25mg) as I was having recurrent episodes of SVT. I had my 1st cardiology appointment last month and the consultant has referred me to have a catheter ablation done. At first I was taking my meds during the day but kept coming over really exhausted
