Catheter ablation

Hi I have had atrial flutter for a number of years and on medication. I do not have any problems that I know of with chest or breathing etc. Had cardioversion a year ago which worked for 3 weeks. My heart rate is still quite fast and the medication I am on has to stop and be replaced by a different drug, the medication is amiod arose which cannot be prescribed long term. Anyway, the consultant has recommended a catheter ablation which is in November 2019. What I would like to ask is their anyone who has had an ablation and their thoughts and feedback on the procedure thanks

I just want to tell you that I have pvc s excessive and the consultant mentioned catheter ablation but apparently they have to try you on the highest dose of Bisoprolol first. I would much rather have the ablation than Long term medication also my GP has already said I will not make 10 mg I am on 1.25 and my HR is 47 so 10 a day will not happen

Take care xxx
