I’m on carvedilol but not amiodarone. It’s expected that you may suffer some side affects as the drug settles in your system. I found it takes up to at least 3 months before I really feel anywhere near my old self but my main issue is fatigue. I’m on a number of drugs which can cause dizziness so it’s my new normal I guess.
Yes Taichid. I have. Amioderone i can never have again. I flat lined on it in an ambulance. Not nice. Im on metoprolol at the mo and am getting 3or 4 thumps every hoir. Im on a 24hr halter monitor right now. Im in nz so not gettinvg much sleepColin
I had Amiodarone for 12 months. Ask your Cardiologist why you need it. It can cause serious side effects - sometimes the risks out weigh the benefits. You must have regular blood tests whilst taking this medication plus stay out of direct sun light. If you can avoid taking it, then my advice is avoid it. Note NHS recommend to prescribe no more than 12-18 months max.
