I have had many occipital nerve blocks. I will randomly get migraines that last for about 6 weeks about twice a year. I go in to my neurologists office daily and get the occipital nerve blocks. He even meets me there on weekends. If I didn't get the nerve blocks I don't honestly know how I would survive

Yes I will have the vaccination
Re Vaccination If I had seen the video of a heart bypass before my op I honestly doubt if I could have got through . I therefore preferred to put my head in the sand and let them get on with it. It will be the same with this vaccination. I would rather that than dying slowly of something I knew I could

CRPS • NEED MORE OPTIONS!
Hello - I have CRPS in my left foot since the first of October 2020. I have had two Sensitivity nerve blocks and neither one made the slightest amount of difference. Not I have been out on Morphine with hydrocodone. The last thing I want to do is continue taking these pills. Anyone one else have CRPS

I am pacemaker dependant having had an av node ablation. Having given up all alcohol, which I used to really enjoy I have very infrequent episodes of AF. I have replaced my Gin and Tonic with a non alcoholic spirit and sugar free tonic. However, I have just heard that I should not be having tonic

Open heart surgery
Hi, I had surgery on the 11 of this month to repair my mitral valve, fix small hole in the heart and do ablation at the same time. Op went well but here we are nearly 3 weeks later and I still have pain , especially in my left side, with taking painkillers it wakes me up after about 5 hours sleep.

Newly diagnosed with cardiomyopathy
Hello everyone. I was diagnosed with cardiomyopathy last week and am pretty shocked and disappointed as I had open heart surgery (aniloplasty) to repair my mitral valve in June 2018 and my cardiologist has always said I was doing very well at my regular checkups since then. Last week's FEVI was 41%

Heart rate problem.
Hi folks, had heart surgery 14 months ago. Mitral valve repair. Felt great for 9 months then ectopics, 22%. Lasted about 2 months then gradually faded away to almost nil. So that's great, except that now occasionally when I lie down in bed to sleep my heart rate suddenly ups a gear to around 100 per

Shoulder pain following open heart surgery. One year on!
Good morning, I had open heart surgery over a year now. I was made aware at the time that I would experience some 'uncomfortable' pain in my back and shoulders for some months after the op, from where my body is manipulated during the procedure. It has since been over a year and I am suffering with terrible

Ablation update: 5 days
I had my ablation at Barts on Monday done by Prof Schilling and his team. As advised I have been very lazy this week and not done much at all apart from watch daytime tv! (My god that is torture! Lol) I’m a teacher and normally racing around so I find it hard to just ‘sit’. Anyway I’ve felt quilt well

Very new on Bisoprolol and feeling rather dizzy, sick and headachy. Also very tired. Is this common?
I have been on Bisoprolol and Apixaban for 5 days now and am feeling rather dizzy, sick and headachy. Also very tired. Is this common? I realise that everyone is different but how long might it be before my body adjusts? I was having palpitations 25% of the time with my pulse up to 190 and then stopping

Really low heart rate
On August 24 of this year, After having what I thought was tachycardia for over 24 hours with a heart rate of 150 b/m, I ended up in the emergency room where it was determined I was having an SVT episode. That was resolved, surprisingly, by an IV of metoprolol. After that, my electro-physiologist increased

Very Scared
I have to admit that I have avoided this forum because I am still so scared of my condition. I have my first Cardiologist appointment on Thursday and I am absolutely terrified of what will happen and feel like a complete coward. I have possible heart failure of which afib is only one symptom. I had other

What do I do?
Have just had a phone call from my health centre. The doctor is concerned about my cholesterol level. (10). This was the level I had when I was first tested on a whim whilst in holiday over 20 years ago. I watched my diet and got it down to 6 something but doctors said I should go on statins. Was given

Dressler’s syndrome, a form of pericarditis
Has anyone on here experienced Dressler’s syndrome, this is a form of pericarditis which develops after heart surgery? There is very little information about this condition as it is quite rare nowadays

HEART FAILURE
I would like some advice - I had open heart surgery in June of 2018 with bypass surgery. Since Wednesday, I have been diagnosed as in heart failure due to a calcium build up in a vessel close to the heart causing a lack of BP to my lower torso, and in the first instance causing swollen ankles. Should
