Can being overmedicated cause atrial fibrillation?
Hi can I get some advice please? GP thinks my Levo should be lowered from 125mcg to 100mcg as my TSH is now at 0.097. T3 5.6 and T4 12.9. Was really surprised tested T3, didn't think they did it! Never been offered before, have had to use Medichecks.Had my bloods done 2 months ago ( july 2023) and TSH

Confused. Do I really need Levo?
Hi all, hope you can help/advise. I have had sub-clinical hypothyroidism (diagnosed by TSH level only 😕) for approx 20 years. I was made aware of this and prescribed Levothyroxine only a couple of years ago when my TSH reached 10 (apparently full-blown hypothyroidism). The thing is, my FT 4 has always

Hello
Hi, new here and newly diagnosed this past week. My tsh is 22.9 and I have just started taking levothyroxine. Mostly I am having varying levels of fatigue that seem to be linked to stress or moving too much. Finding it difficult to figure out what amount of activity is right.... as too little also feeds

Must my NHS GP prescribe Levothyroxine?
Hello everyone I just joined yesterday and hope you can help I was diagnosed hypothyroid almost 5 years ago. This was by a private consultant who I saw in desperation after years of being fobbed off by the GP I was with at the time. After my diagnosis, however, my GP played ball and took on my Levothyroxine

Overactive again, but why? What to do?
I have an endo appt on Monday (25th Sep 2023). Before that, I'd appreciate your thoughts on what you all think may be happening and why. It might help me get the most out of the appointment. Apologies for the long post — I felt I needed to fill in some background.

Husband results
My husband had a routine yearly blood test check from gp and I was looking through the results as I always do, and see that his TSH was good at 1.868 (0.57-3.6) but his T4 was 8.6 (7.9-14.0). Looking back to his last years results the T4 has gone down a little bit. He 64 and is quite fit and healthy

thyroid blood results following almost 3 months on T3
hi everyone, I’ve been on 10 mcg T3 and 50 mcg T4 for almost three months. I asked my GP for a blood test after 9 weeks (just thyroid as I’m taking vitamins and these were ok at last test 9 weeks earlier) I’m hoping you can advise me as I’m wondering if my levothyroxine needs increasing. I would point

Pain that worsens upon movement? And triggers longer episodes of pelvic pain if I’ve been lifting or especially walking anywhere.
So, just over 3 years ago, I had a tubo-ovarian abscess, which I was in hospital for around a week with… It’s likely that this may have been caused by the coil itself and a consequent infection. Managed conservatively at the time but after repeated infections and severe pain, I was finally offered surgery

Dr appointment
Following on from my blood results posted yesterday, I had a phone appointment today. It was with a doctor I don’t know from another practice, and I hope I never have to consult with her again. First thing she asked was why have I stopped taking my medication?!! I assured her I haven’t (this seems
