Palpitations versus Atrial Fibrillation ?
Over the years, I have had a number of Palpitations, which sometimes they keep me awake, and constant every few seconds. I recently bought myself a Kardia 6 lead ECG Monitor, so I could keep a watch on my heart rhythms, and if this would show up any problems needing looked at Over a few days, there

Tumor Lysis Syndrome: What ( CLL ) Patients Need to Know (Leukemia and Lymphoma Society podcast)
Many of us are aware of the risk of tumor lysis syndrome (TLS) when we commence treatment, particularly with venetoclax and that the purpose of the venetoclax ramp-up, is to reduce the risk of TLS occurring. TLS can also occur with other CLL treatments, especially when they are fast acting, rapidly killing

Starting on Flecainide
My history is that I was first diagnosed with AF in A & E in the early hours of the morning in November 2021 after a very hot curry and half a bottle of wine. I was prescribed anti coagulants and beta blockers. I had a brief reoccurrence in March 2022 but I went back into NSR as soon as they called

I just began the Eclipse Clinical Trial and will be posting my experiences here. Please share yours too.
I live in Southern California, but applied for acceptance into the Eclipse Trial in Miami Florida. The criteria was that I had to be castrate resistant and failed at first generation ADT, as well as second generation ADT. Plus that I had to have a minimum PSA of 2.0 with two consecutive rises one week

Phase II 2020-0200 Clinical Trial
Hello everyone, I was diagnosed in May 2021 at 50 years old. PSA 426/Gleason 8. Had been on Abiraterone Acetate (AA) along with Lupron and Prednisone. My PSA dropped to 0.1 until recently I became castrate resistant. I was advised by my team at MD Anderson that my cancer was a strong variant type.

Palpitations and flare up of PMR symptoms
Hello everyone, I suppose I just want to share what's happening with people who understand! I have been doing a very very slow taper for quite some time and managed to get to my lowest dose yet of 7.5mg pred earlier this month. However, over the last few weeks, I have had a succession of family things

set pattern to PAF
I have had PAF for about 9 years. Symptoms tolerable but the attacks last about 12 hours. No diagnosed cause and cannot take medication owing to low heart rate just on apaxiban. Heart deemed to be too healthy to have an ablation & run even the low risk. I get an attack every 3 weeks, used to be less

I feel my Prox. AF has changed over the last 6 months. It now last most of the day being in and out of AF and the periods when I’m not in it I have a resting heart rate of around 100. Just as I go back into Sinus rhythm I feel really ill as though I’m going to black out and start to lose my focus for

Since diagnosis in 2018, I have pretty much run the gamut of affordable SOC treatments and I finally got my Onco to agree that the treatments were doing more harm than good (based on side effects and endlessly climbing PSA). I have continual gut pain. Is this type of pain what we hear about as

P-Afib from cancer treatment causes different part of heart to misfire.
Hello Everyone,So I was diagnosed with P-Afib nearly 7 years ago. Beta blockers were a disaster and made me exceedingly ill.....Once on a calcium channel blocker, Verapamil, things however settled down. At the time I was told Ablation isn't an option for me as it could be my heart is misfiring due to

Waiting for Cardioversion
After 2 successful ablations RF in 2010 and Cryo in 2018 AF returned sometime last year when I noticed that my HR was taking some time to come down after exercise. I had GP appointment in August and EP on 6/12/22. ECG on that day confirmed in AF followed by Holter monitor in January which shows the AF

I have had PAF for 22 years. Very light burden for 20 years. Over past two years episodes have increased in frequency. It’s now once a week mostly. On Donedarone for 11 months to stop syncope. Works well for that but recent 24 hour holter monitor showed a few 6 second pauses in SNR. I have bradycardia
