A couple of months ago, I applied for a clinical trial that had just started recruiting. They are still recruiting and have begun administering the trial drug to participants. I never heard from trial staff. Has anyone applied for a trial and received notice whether they were rejected? Thank you.

Not sure how this works in the US but I was put forward for a trial to a leading hospital and they lost my paperwork! Once my oncologist jogged their memory they were on the phone in 24 hours. Don’t hold back, contact them and ask where you stand xx
Hi, I have been on three clinical trials here in the UK and each time I was put forward by my oncologist. Has your oncologist made a request on your behalf. At the end of the day they are usually worldwide trials. Good luck. Kathy x
yes. I read his office notes which indicate that he did. I read that sometimes researchers will decline to accept a patient who lived too far away. My daughter drives me ten hours round trip every other Friday for chemo. It’s not a hard drive. I wrote to study head asking him to reconsider me and just tried to pitch myself. I’m being to have trouble urinating and am nervous about getting chemo this afternoon. I will sent a note to oncologist in a bit, and mention it to his nurse practitioner when I see her before today’s chemo. If I don’t get into this study, I’m kaput. Thanks so much for responding, Kathy. Hope you continue to be well.
Thank you so much, Kathy. I joined this forum in July 2020 and you have been steadfast in your support of your teal sisters for quite some time! Thank you for your many helpful posts and responses! ❤️
The trial is being conducted in-house by the hospital that treating me, and my oncologist did advise clinical trials that I wanted to participate in the study. They are still recruiting. I just don’t think this third line chemo is working. I should have my lab results in about four hours. I’m really anxious about my kidney function. Thank you kindly for responding, Margaret.
Hi Sashay, l was going to say exactly the same things go amiss in the system sometimes. Im sure if they had your application you'd get some kind of acknowledgement. Please try again and hopefully you'll be successful sending big hugs & love from a cold Tenerife Not buying the frocks this time need to look for thermals. Good luck Sashay you'll be in my prayers in Mass tomorrow 🙏 ❤ xx love SheilaFxxx
