Sinus Rhythm with Various other Arrhythmias
Since having my first Afib episode in over a year after an ablation in March, 2022, I've had a very few additional Afib episodes. What's new is an almost daily spate of readings from my Kardia of: 'Sinus Rhythm with Supraventricular Ectopics", "Sinus Rhythm with Wide QRS", "Sinus Rhythm with Premature

One failed catheter ablation in Jan 2023, massive worsening of symptoms in July 2023 clearly indicating vagal nerve involvement. My very nice cardiologist (Professor) recommends another cath ablation or drug therapy which I know will not work, e.g. can't breathe well after betablocker and developed extreme

My experience with Docetaxel
I know everyone doesn’t respond the same but here is my experience and what I went through with 10 rounds of chemo. Before I started I had already been on Lupron for five years, I had radiation to multiple bone Mets, took zytiga/xtandi, had Provenge and did a clinical trial. October 26 2023 I started

Can you do too much exercise?
I wonder if any one else has the same experience as me. We all know how important exercise is for neurological conditions so I followed the conditions of a randomised American clinical trial comparing aerobic training with balance training. The participants spent 30 minutes five times a week for four

Bonita219 we hardly knew ya, a visit with the angel of death
We all know that there will be an end to our lives. Mostly we push it out of our day to day and ignore it. For most people age and increasing organ damage brings pain and a greater awareness of that long-hidden reality. I got a letter recently from a nurse with a note that said Bonita has passed.

Disappointing News from CT and Clinical Trial
Well folks, I went for my fourth dose in the Phase 1 clinical at Sarah Cannon Research this week and had first follow-up CT since treatment started. Met with Dr. prior to treatment and he shared the scan results which showed progression in liver and abdomen in general. He strongly advised I needed

Has anyone been 'volunteered ' for this new trial from Astra Zanaca? Saruparib (AZD5305) vs Placebo in Men with Metastatic Castration-Sensitive Prostate Cancer Receiving Physician's Choice New Hormonal Agents - EvoPAR-PR01 This is looking at whether adding a new drug on top of taking an Androgen Receptor

Pre afib signs
Does anyone else have any pre afib symptoms? I usually get them an hour or so before it appears. My HR shoots up to over 100 for a second and I can feel it in my chest and my HR drops down to normal but I can sense something is going on but HR still around 55-60. Then may 30 to 60 minutes later it hits

Graphene: could be ready for our therapies by 2030
Graphene and his siblings are gaining attention for their role in drug delivery systems, photothermal, and photodynamic cancer therapy, and as platforms for combined therapies. In vivo it's working already, with some potential for a fast development to clinical trials. https://www.dovepress.com/chasing-graphene-based-anticancer-drugs-where-are-we-now-on-the-biomed-peer-reviewed-fulltext-article-IJN

Flecainide for chemical version
Persistent AF for over two years punctuated by NSR for 8mths after first cardioversion but only 2 weeks after second. Now on digoxin & sotalol which controls the rate well but limits activities. Clinic suggest trying Flecainide to see if it will chemically induce NSR. Any experiences with this approach

Stopping Flecainide
Had cryo ablation in 2014 and over the past couple years started getting occasional afib episodes esp after exertion. Cardiologist put me on flec, 50 mg bid, which reduced the episodes. Also was advised to use 100 mg as pip in event of breakthroughs.About a year ago the episodes increased and was told

I need help, does anyone understand these results. I am currently on the Bruin 321 clinical trial and am on 3rd cycle of Pirtobrutinib. So far things are going good. I saw my doctor and she explained it somewhat but maybe someone on here can explain it to me in layman's terms. Sequence Variants Detected

Could you connect your beginning first AF episode?
When I was first diagnosed in the hospital emerg with atrial flutter/fibrillation my heart that day had instantly started being around 140 bpm (brought down with IV medication). I was referred to a cardiologist. I’m 67 years old and after months of heart tests and blood tests everything was normal,

Medscape posts the new consensus about treating AF
“previously, catheter ablation has been used mainly for patients with paroxysmal AF who have already tried or who were intolerant to antiarrhythmic medical treatments, but now, the consensus statement is recommending catheter ablation even in patients who have not tried other treatments. This is based

PSA going down, but ALP increasing
I'm 3 weeks into a clinical trial for ARV-766, an AR degrader. At 2 weeks, my PSA had dropped from 133 to 66! Bone pain is much less. All my liver numbers are fine, but alkaline phosphatase has gone from 199 when I started to 429 at two weeks and 519 at three weeks. Doc thinks may just be a surge, but
