BAT question. A little worried about results.
I was on Xtandi as part of a clinical trial at NIH and after 2 years my PSA started climbing and PSMA scan showed metastasis in abdominal lymph nodes and supraclavicular node. Biopsy of the abdominal nodes wasn’t possible but biopsy of the supraclavicular node was inconclusive. However , this knocked

body heat and buprenorphine
Hi, I have been using Buprenorphine patches for 4 weeks and was wondering whether body heat releases more opioids into the system. When I’m really warm I feel spacey and drowsy. Has anyone else experienced this?

What's the point of taking Flecainide if it gives you flutter?
I'm wondering whether to consider packing in Flecainide as all its seems to have done is replace Afib with
atrial
flutter
and the initial benefits appear to be waining, especially now that I'm supposed to take Bisoprolol too.

Happy 2023, bravehearts! A question on vagus nerve involvement....
I know there's massive hype out there about the vagus nerve and the treatment of any number of ills through vagus stimulation and care. Nevertheless........Was wondering if anyone's had any success with one of those wearable devices for VNS and if, at this very early stage of AFib - diagnosed as Paroxysmal

📚 Research 101: Patient panels/ advisory boards

Gp intervention
I have my AFib under control after being prescribed my meds by my heart consultant. I take Flecainide, Apixaban, & Propranolol which controls my a fib. However, I have just realised that my Gp has halved my propranolol dose without consultation! ( from 80 mg to 40 mg) I am due to have a medical review

Happy New Year - Afib and Covid 2023
Hi all. I know we've all heard enough about having afib and covid. I have to give my take on it though. I've never felt so happy - so here's a positive post about the whole thing of the two together. I've avoided the bullet so far. Tested positive this morning for covid. 5 days of self-isolation with

Dilated left atrium and appendage. CT full results.
I asked for my full CT angiogram report so I can show it to Dr Hunter before my consultation about mini maze. And unbeknownst to be it showed mild mitral valve prolapse and dilated left atrium and appendage. As well as coronary disease. I feel like I can’t get a win ! Another punch to the face so

Heart Rate Spikes after Ablation
It seems the ablation has helped an
atrial
flutter
that I was experiencing prior to the ablation, which was a new occurrence, and my afib. I am trying to get back into the swing of things with exercise because it is my passion. I find my heart rate spiking easily during brisk walks.

Paroxymal Atrial Fibrillation
I was diagnosed with paroxymal AF in 2017 I was given 1.25mg Bisoprolol to start with and then in time, I gravitated to 5mg. Since last month the af went out of sync, I am now on 7.5mg Bisoprolol and the increased dose has not been helping greatly. On the 14/11 I had to go to A&E as I had chest pain.

Monster Returns
Without provocation (no triggers), I startled awake in Afib which turned into tachycardia and has continued for 48 hours now. So after a respite of nine months from my FOURTH ablation [& coming off flecainide (due to left bundle block), but still on metoprolol ER, amlodipine, and Xarelto], I’m beginning
