Has anyone been AFIB free for several months on Flecainide, but then get an attack when you have a 100.5 fever and cold sweats (not feeling well)??? Just wondering if anyone has had an experience similar to mine? Thank you for any and all replies as I love you all!!!!!!!

AFIB ATTACK TRIGGER???
Any inflamation or infection tends to increase the likelyhood of AF events.
Yep, infection = inflammatory response = Af - nearly always.
I just did last weekend. I hadn’t connected the two until I read your post. I love this forum!
almost always with heavy cold
In fact happened to me at 4am yesterday. I've got flu and my temperature was up. Took extra flecinade and wore off in 3 hours. Strangley it didn't happen when I had covid but definitely think my temperature triggered it
Weird! I just started taking Flecainide two months ago. AFIB stopped almost completely. This bug/inflammation has put me in the longest but mild episode since being diagnosed. Still in mild AFIB (irregular heartbeat with pulse mainly (50-100) as I write this (going on 40 hours straight). Before this my heart always converted in 19 hours or less. Still taking Flecainide at 50mg am and pm. I have to be careful I don't take too much since I take 15mg of Paroxetine per day for anxiety. My research says Paroxetine reacts with Flecainide. Still praying this episode will end. Love you all! Jpot34
Thank you, bassets! I converted yesterday about noon. What a relief!!
