Hydration and Afib paradox
All the cardiologists I have known suggest good hydration. I have paroxysmal Afib, and I noticed, like many Afibbers, that when I have a fibrillation I pee very often. Yesterday another Afib started, lasted six hours, and I delivered a total of 1 liter of pee. To replace it I should have drunk five

Reflex Tachycardia
Has anyone experienced reflex tachycardia with their prescribed rate control medication for afib/ flutter, either calcium channel blockers or beta blockers? I take diltiazem 120 mg extended release (and apixaban) and when sleeping have been experiencing a quick heart beat for only a minute around 90

Medication review
I have recently had a medication review from my GP(pharmacist). As I have now turned 65 it looks like in addition to the Flecainide/Bisoprolol I also will also need anticoagulants. I was diagnosed with loan Paroxysmal AF about 20 years ago but have only had 2 episodes in the last 4 years and the most

Eliquis and surgery
I will have to go off my Eliquis for several days prior to having surgery on one of my eyes. I am terrified that I may go into AF while off it. Has anyone had to go off their anticoagulant for surgery and had AF without it causing a stroke?

Diltiazem
On the very last morning of a month's visit to the USA from UK, at 4:00am with bags packed, boarding passes printed and a driver set to come to take me to the airport, the beast returned. I couldn't believe it! I through down the max dose of Flecainide hoping I would convert to NSR, but not this

Fainting and shakes
Hi, I am new to posting but have been reading for some time. I was diagnosed with afib in 2021 and also had a stroke caused by a brain bleed. I am now in PAF which kicks in every 2 weeks or so, lasting a few hours. When this happens I usually have a "funny turn" , feel a bit faint for a few seconds

Lercandipine 20mg and AFib
I was started on 10mg Lercandipine in the mornings by my Cardiologist about a year ago. I also take 15mg Bisoprol, 2.5mg Indapamide and 40 mg Olmesartan together with 60mg Edoxaban in the morning and 8mg Doxazosin at night. A week ago he changed my Lercandipine dosage to 20mg and to take it in the evening

Recovery stories after PFA?
Just scheduled a PFA (pulsed field ablation) for mid-June, and was wondering if anyone might share their recovery stories - is it an easier recovery than Cryo or RF? I had a cryo ablation in 2018, and after a couple of years of trial and error, had almost 3 years of no AF episodes on 200mg/day of Flecainide

Does Flecainide Work for Persistent Afib
Hello. In February, I had a cardioversion after being in persistent afib for 5 months. While I was in NSR, I saw my cardiologist and he took me off of metoprolol and prescribed Ditilizem and Flecainide. Several days after I saw him, I went back into persistent afib, but had not yet started taking

Constant afib
I am becoming tired of suffering from afib every ten days. My medication is Bisoporol 5mg, Warfarin and Dronedarone 500mg twice daily. I had an ablation two years ago which didn't work. I'm going for an echocardiagram and a a halter early April to ascertain if heart has changed. Has anyone any positive

Afib and Atrial tachycardia ...
Hi all, Long story short, I've had arrhythmia for years, Afib and SVT. 4 ablations later, last year they fitted me with a dual chamber pacemaker and had an AV Node ablation. I still have an ILR fitted and from the uploads of a night from my monitor, they have found I'm having Atrial Tachycardia,

Afib and Nytol
hello lovely people. I have had Afib for about 6 years not permanent yet! On warfarin and bisoprolol. I haven’t been sleeping very well recently and wanted to take a herbal nytol tsbler but wondering if it might affect my warfarin. Has anyone taken Nytol whilst on warfarin? Thank you for any replies

Newbie - Constant bradycardia afib/arrhythmia symptoms?
Hi! I'm curious if anyone has/had constant 24/7 bradycardia afib/arrhythmia? What symptoms did you experience? Short background, husband had an ICD implanted 6 of Feb and it has caused/triggered constant afib (reading medical research I now understand these procedures are known to in cases be pro-arrhythmic

Have been in persistant afib after unsuccessful cardioversion 6 mths ago. On Loperessor 100/50 and eliquis. Doing only ok but almost past out after walking up two flights of stairs over weekend. Short of breath and nausea. Have been told not a good canidate for ablation.
