Afib and Nytol

hello lovely people. I have had Afib for about 6 years not permanent yet! On warfarin and bisoprolol. I haven’t been sleeping very well recently and wanted to take a herbal nytol tsbler but wondering if it might affect my warfarin. Has anyone taken Nytol whilst on warfarin? Thank you for any replies 😊

Hi Amhan, it doesn't look as though any other members know the answer re an interaction between herbal Nytol and Warfarin.

Someone who should be able to help you is the pharmacist at the chemists where you get your Warfarin dispensed.

I am not on warfarin but Apixaban. I asked my pharmacist this question a month or so ago and he went through everything with me and said yes I could take it and started me on the Nytol 25 mg explaining that I should start with that and if necessary take 2 but could not take it long term and suggested taking it a bout 4 nights a week for two weeks and seeing if that could get me back into a routine. then maybe taking it as and when necessary. He also explained that Diphenhydramine was once a hayfever medication - I remember they used to make my son sleepy all those years ago and recognised the name on the packet. Always ask your pharmacist they usually know more about interactions than GP's. Hope it works for you.

I have taken Nytol with Warfarin. When I had my INR bloods tests everything was ok.
