paroxysmal atrial fibrillation
I have been diagnosed with AF and slowly getting my head around it all. I’m on blood thinner rivaoban and sotalol and rampril. I’ve just head a letter from cardiologist from our 3 monthly catch-up and noticed on diagnosis he has also put on preserved LV function, any of you lovely people know what that

Lightheadedness after AFib episode
A few weeks ago I posted about not being given any medication to shorten my AFib attacks and received many useful replies. Thank you all.. Since then I have sent my ECG readings to my cardiologist and 2 weeks ago I was started on 50 mg Flecanide twice a day with instructions to take another 50 mg one

Anti-arrhythmics and NeuroPsychiatric Symptoms
Anyone have experience with the antiarrhythmics and neuropsych symptoms (anxiety, depression, agitation, etc.). I stopped flecainide for that very reason and am suspecting the same now with propafenone. Has anyone else experienced this side effect?

Hi?? best AFib BP med?
I have AFib & cll. I'm on 5mg Eliquis 2x/day, 100mg metropolol daily and ibrutinib 140mg 1x/day for cll. Counts are good but I continue to wonder which BP med is best in relation to my continuing AFib? I seem to get fatigued if I slightly over do activities. I've been reading and metoprolol seems

AFIB caused heart failure?
Hello, my 76 year old mom was hospitalized a month ago after feeling very sick and ended up having to be intubated in the ICU for a day because her lungs were full of fluid - she had heart failure with an EF of 15%. She has had afib for over 17 years and had an ablation done when she was first diagnosed

Echo results.
Hi I have afib, not usually too often but have had a few episodes this year. On all the usual meds. Have just been given an inhaler as hyperinflated patches were found on my lungs in a chest x ray. Anyway had the results of my latest echocardiogram yesterday and was wondering if you good people can interpret

83 years old - Firmagon or Zoladex ? Conflicted which to choose.
Dad is 83 and has to start on ADT from Tomorrow. He has no known cardiac issues but we have a strong family history of cardiac disease. His dad and brother both passed from it He also gets ectopic beats/ pvc’s since many years but all cardiologists say those are benign and not to bother. His blood

Afib and Bone density supplements
I have had afib for about four years now. My latest bone density test shows osteoporosis. My primary wants me to take Prolia or some other prescription medication. My research indicates "causes arrhyhtmia" as the number one side effect. Clearly a problem for me. I have looked at several bone density

No more appointments
I had an appointment yesterday to discuss results of recent echo. Was seen by a specialist (can’t remember official title) who is a level below cardiologist - apparently does all the ground work and liases with cardiologist. He advised that as well as afib, I now have 2 slightly leaky valves and also

Mycophenolate Mofetil Anyone?
I saw a different Rheumatologist in the clinic recently. He appeared satisfied that I was on long term 5.5 Prednisolone (I had previously run into trouble at 5mg) but his follow up letter indicated a plan to offer me Mycophenolate Mofetil as a DMARD to get me off steroids. Has anyone had experience of

Bisoprolol
I only had just over a week on bisoprolol 5mgs after coming out the hospital after fast afib episode. I felt breathless and nauseated. I have no follow up at the hospital, they just said gp to review so last week the gp did agree reluctantly to go down to 3.75mgs which I've taken for nearly a week but

AF and amiodaran treatment, ablations, cardioversions
This is an update to my original post in this thread and I thought I would start a new thread. I'm 55 years old and I've had atrial fibrillation for a year. I've undergone two cardioversions, and the last one lasted for about 10 weeks. For the past 10 weeks, I've been in atrial fibrillation all the time

I NEVER LEARN
Hello everyone, It's 5:44 AM in California and the paramedics have just left. I called them as while lying in bed I felt nauseous, and stomach felt odd so I put my oximeter on my finger and watched it go down to 29 and then back up to baseline HR for me of 50 and it really freaked me out but I tried

Continuous afib
I have had afib for 17 years and have been taking Flecainide (initially 25mg and after few years 100mg) and Metroprolol 25mg. I had afib episodes every 6 months for one or two days and after that it went away. Each episode lasted for three or four hours. For the past two years I have been taking

update on switching to digoxin from lopressor
Stopped digoxin this am and starting back on lopressor. bad heartburn and nausea just kept getting worse. Lots of hydrating and will explore ablation. Really felt sick on digoxin. Although don't feel generally great this was really not a good experience.
