Aspergillus allergy Grade 3

Diagnosed via RAST test I’m really scared I have this because my Mum has Aspergillosis and her lungs are terrible, including unresponsive events of respiratory failure.

Acute Invasive Aspergillosis

Hi all I just completed the poll about the type of aspergillosis I have, and I saw that there were others with the acute invasive version, but I don't know who or how recently they have been here. If this is something you have, let me know and we can share notes.

Aspergillosis and Bronchiectasis

I Have Bronchiectasis and Aspergillosis allergy. This Allergy is making my Bronchiectasis bad. I've had several medications from the doctor and chest specialist but with no luck, some of the medications I was un able to take because they upset me.

Not good.

It’s almost certainly caused by the pneumonia and Aspergillosis I had nearly four years ago. I found out by looking at my discharge sheet from hospital that I had Interstitial scarring. I knew exactly when I read it but nobody was telling me anything. I asked the Dr outright today.

Hernia affecting breathing?

Already have asthma and acute broncho-pulmonary aspergillosis. I have gastric reflux which is always worse when I have shortness of breath. The belching is so intense it could launch a space ship. I take lansoprazole.

Discharge

I must have had this when I was discharged after pneumonia and aspergillosis two years ago. They have checked my fingers for clubbing a couple of times and I wondered why because obviously clubbed fingers and interstitial lungs are symptoms of Pulmonary fibrosis which is what my Husband had.

Steroids and aspergillosis ?

I take itraconazol long term for the aspergillosis and have a bad flare up at the moment and can't help but wonder if the steroids could contribute to this.

Can someone provide a checklist of options. My doc sees aspergillosis in my lungs per the fungal report but is very hesitant to treat it.

Has anyone else received this same diagnosis or had Covid Associated Pulmonary Aspergillosis (CAPA)?

It's really hard to get information on this type of infection and I don't even know what category of aspergillosis to place it in. I would love to learn more about this subject.

Recent diagnosis of Chronic Pulmonary Aspergillosis, along with Bronchiectasis and Asthma

I am 76 and never really been unwell since 1981 when I experienced spontaneous pneumothoraces ,which left me with cavity in LUL. Only this past year have I been feeling things not right and had several what was thought to be chest infections, although 4 courses of antibiotics failed to clear infections

Researchers discover hybrid fungus involved in lung infections

In patients with weak immune systems, however, the mold can cause pneumonia, build up fungal balls (aspergillomas) in the lungs, and spread to become invasive pulmonary aspergillosis, the most severe form of the disease.

Going back to work after Shielding !!

I am a 56 yr old female with severe Asthma, ABPA or aspergillosis and Bronchiectasis. I have been shielding since mid March. I have been going out for walks, keeping away from people. I am concerned about the next steps as many of you are.

Prebiotics and Probiotics

I have asthma, acute broncho-pulmonary aspergillosis and bronchiectasis. I also have gastric-reflux problems and spend a lot of time belching. I was wondering if probiotics and prebiotics might help? Any advice gratefully appreciated.
