Does anyone else with autoimmune PA have a sky high IgE level as I do? Since diagnosis mine has been around 2000 KIU/L (normal range <20).
I don’t suffer from any of the conditions usually associated with very high serum IgE such as aspergillosis, Hodgkin’s Disease etc, so whatever has caused it is a mystery. Nor do I know what the consequences of it being so high are.
If it turns out to be a common thing among us, perhaps it might give some insight into why many of us feel little better after treatment, or into the underlying processes involved in our condition.
At the very least it would be nice to know whether it’s just me that has this weird result!

Thanks for the suggestion, but I’ve already trawled the internet and found nothing applicable. I do have an allergy to dust mite but nothing else. The IgE level I have is not just elevated, it’s 100 times normal, so the reason for my question was to see if this is peculiar to me, or if it’s found in others with PA. If so, perhaps it has some significance to the disease process.
