My doctor has advised me that my iron level is on the low side of the normal range. Should I take iron supplements to boost it as my doctor is happy to leave the levels as they are.

How low is low?
Is this just Ferritin or has he done a full iron panel?
As iron is low it's a good idea to check your other key nutrients to see if they are also low, if not already done ask for
