Help new to this.
Really struggling. Started feeling unwell post Covid November 2023. Fatigued to the point of feeling like wading through treacle. Weight gain. Severe pain in shoulder and right heel to the point can’t walk some days. Ectopic heart beats that left me dizzy and faint. Constipation. And strange feeling

Back to life thanks to this forum! GP Next steps though - further levo increase?
You've been so helpful. Your collective knowledge has led to a diagnosis of (ords) hashimotos, my levo being upped to 75mg and I'm pain free for the first time in 5 YEARS! Thank you. I feel alive again. I armed myself with printed NICE guidelines and facts/ research and GP didn't resist this time and

Hi ladies. this might be a long one sorry. I don’t even know why I’m posting this but can’t talk to the ”outside world”. My best friend lives aboard and I haven’t made any Mum friends since having Francesca. Those who don’t know me - I had an horrific 7 years struggle with involved 3 surgeries

Test results and what to ask my GP
I had routine bloods done last week mainly because of high cholesterol. My results showed not just high cholesterol, but also: Serum TSH 8.7 Serum free T4 12.8 So there's a note about me being subclinical hypothyroid and another about statins. So I'm guessing the GP is just going to want to put me

ft3 and t3 the same thing?
hi is Ft3 the same thing as T3? I think here in Scotland we only measure Tsh and t4, t3 (I think) at a push if requested but hard to get at GP. In England is it Ft3 I’ve seen on posts. That’s why I’m asking if they’re the same measurement. I’d like to know how well I’m converting and if not if I can

Speaking to GP tomorrow - which symptoms should I emphasise
I think I am undermedicated with results: Serum TSH level 2.41 mIU/L [0.27 - 4.2] Serum free T4 level 16.7 pmol/L [12.0 - 22.0] Especially as I forgot and took my 50 levothyroxine an hour before the test (numpty) They are against me being on levothyroxine as I can't have any symptoms at that TSH

GP Levothyroxine review appointment today
Today I had my appointment with the GP to review my Levothyroxine. He introduced himself as the GP that I am registered with not the one I was told I would see. He is Indian and even using the microphone that bluetooths directly into my hearing aids he was very difficult to understand. Several times

advice, thoughts please, feeling rather desperate?!
hi I only got one response to my recent post which was so kind but no feedback so am trying again as I’m a bit stumped. I’d hoped going on NDT would relieve fibro symptoms and generally help me feel better, and give me more energy, but despite latest test results I don’t feel that much different. Certainly

need guidance
Hello all, I'm new here. I was researching and came across this group. I'm asking for advice actually for my daughter. Here is the story. My daughter as a child was slightly overweight at age of puberty. When she was about 20, we went to a dr who ordered a thyroid US. Results multi nodules. No big concern

Overmedicated for Graves
Good morning , Please if you can could you help advise me how to ease some of my symptoms .I will be very grateful . On my last blood test my TSH increased from 0.32 to 3.47 and it is assumed by the Endo that I’m over medicated. I was for 10 weeks on 10 mg of Carbimazole and the dose was reduced from

T3 advice and suggestions desperately needed.
Hi everyone, I was so grateful to see you all still here. After 25 years of a ME/CFS diagnosis. A hospital endo has just picked up that I have very low T3 just scrapping in at the bottom and a high T4 over-range. I have always felt dreadful on levothyroxine and my final raise of 100 mcg was 4 years

My levels
Hi I've been taking Levothyroxine for about 10 years. I had blood tests recently and my TSH was 5.78 and T4 was normal at 13. I really don't like taking Levothyroxine. Is there any case that I can stop taking Levothyroxine? Am I subclinical? Many thanks Mika
