Moderate to severe aortic regurgitation
I had a David’s procedure in January to replace my aortic root and decision was made to preserve rather than replace my
aortic
valve which is bicuspid type 0.

I have recently Been diagnosed with

AF & hiatus hernia
It was discovered I have a suspected bicuspid
aortic
valve with mild
stenosis
. I would never have known without the AF. One cardioversion later which restored nsr for a couple of days only and I am 3 weeks away from an ablation.

A pity party fixed by our shared forum. Thank you!
., a cardiologist told me that I had
aortic
valve
stenosis
and that a replacement valve was in my fairly near future. If anyone remembers the old play, "It's Tuesday. It must be Belgium.", this trip was like that. I was traveling with a friend.

Miscellaneous Musings for the Very Bored
However, I am hoping that, if there is a need for surgery, the tests suggest
Aortic
Stenosis
for which the "non-surgical" procedure that we discussed ("TAVR") may be an option rather than a defective Mitral valve for which TAVR may not appropriate. Fingers crossed.]

Vitamin D and aortic stenosis
It was found on an echo 2 years ago that I had slight
Aortic
stenosis
. I was told I would be followed up after 5 years. I have just been reading research in the BMJ that people with
aortic
stenosis
shouldn’t be taking Vitamin D .

Heart valve disease and cause of breathlessness
I have been waiting for results from an echocardiogram done 5 weeks ago and although I expect a diagnosis of
aortic
stenosis
, on the basis of breathlessness and severely reduced capacity for effort, I am fearful that I too may be told that the cause of my breathlessness has not be found.
