Hi can you have bariatric surgery with aortic stenosis?

With so little information it is really tricky to comment. As you are asking about bariatric surgery I assume you are obese. Is this causing you any issues, such as hypertension or Type II diabetes, or is it a question of just losing weight. Likewise does the stenosis causes you any issues like breathlessness or chest pain? I think you need to discuss all of this with your cardiologist who would probably want an MDT (multiple disciplinary team) meeting. It may be they opt for a TAVI (Transcatheter Aortic Valve Insertion) to treat the stenosis, and is a minimally invasive procedure. I would respectfully suggest you start changing your diet now as to gain approval for bariatric surgery you do need to show the desire and the ability to lose weight. Good luck!
