Moderate Aortic Stenosis
Hello
I do not have as much knowledge as others on here but from what you are saying I would speak to my Doctor as it does not seem quite what you should be feeling
I would not ignore it and I would make that call
Let us know how you get on x
Dear Blond2
Do consider the advice from Bekind2.. and please get in touch with your medics.
When the stenosis goes from moderate to severe then you will be due a replacement valve. I had the replacement two years ago. It is a totally wonderful operation nothing like other operations. But they will not do the op until it is essential. Then you will have a better choice of valves.
No doubt you will be called to your local hospital for scans and it will possibly seem that nothing is happening. But once the heart specialists see you are getting severely stenosed then they make provision for your treatment. My specialist rang me the next day (a Saturday). Mostly you get sent to the nearest cardiology centre and you get an appointment preceded by three outpatient tests.
I have good memories of the operation and the fabulous care provided. By far the worst bit was the waiting.
Best wishes

You definitely need to follow this up. When diagnosing my moderate stenosis my cardiologist told me some patients can remain in this condition for a number of years but be kind to yourself and make that phone call. Stop worrying and just call your doctor. Best of luck. Sue
