hello, I could really use some help piecing my mess together. I’ll try to be brief but that may be difficult because there’s a lot to unpack. 2009 thyroidectomy for large goiter and hashimotos Lived comfortably on 150/175 mcgs of Levo until perimenopause. Around that time i developed severe anxiety

Suppressed TSH and getting optimum on NDT
I'm being treated by a private thyroid Dr for hypothyroid, I'm on NDT Armour and I've been slowly titrating for 12 months from zero treatment. I couldn't get treatment on the NHS. My latest results show TSH at 0.01. My T4 and T3 are the highest they've ever been and I feel much better than I did last

Curious about PBC symptoms and LFTs at Diagnosis
Hello Everyone, I am new to the group and I was recently diagnosed with PBC and I was wondering if anyone could share what symptoms they might have been experiencing when they first were diagnosed with PBC. I know from doing some research, that "intense" itching is mentioned as well as elevated LFTs

Does anyone take a diuretic to help with water retention?
I have for many years suffered from painful water retention in my buttocks and legs. I am also unable to pinch the skin on my upper arms. Ive recently been prescribed a diuretic to see if this will help. Do others have a similar issue? Or is it a sign that I’m still under medicated? My legs are painful

T4 high range advice please
Hi I’m just looking for some advice please these are my latest results. As you will see T4 always seems to be in the higher range whilst T3 the lower end of the range. Just wondering if a small amount of Liothyronine were to be added how does it actually work? For example would it raise T3 whilst lowering

Completely lost
I’m 72 & in general good health (I think) except for Osteopenia and that I inherited Restless Legs from my mum. I started on .25mg Ropinirole 7 years ago which was like magic but it’s slowly increased to 3x.25mg per night. Perhaps not a big dose but I learned via this site it’s best to switch from Ropinirole

T4/T3 Combi Overmedicated Help Please
I posted yesterday about my recent feelings of overmedication but didnt get many replies. Its just symptoms, not blood tests, but had palpitations, fatigue, fast heart beat, shortness of breath. Was on 150mcg Levo and 12.5 T3 daily. Also added daily selenium which might have complicated things. Cut

T3 narrative
Hello, I have been exclusively on T3 since November 2023 following years of trying different combinations. At the current time I am sourcing this privately however I am soon due another endocrinology appointment and I’m dreading it, but would also like to see if I can get it on the NHS. They are so

Early morning blood tests
I see on other posts that an early morning blood test before 09:00hrs is suggested for an accurate reading. I went to have bloods taken yesterday morning at 08:55hrs for ferritin. My phlebotomist found that my blood flow was a bit on the slow side... but ok for the lab test. She thought she might have

T4/T3 converter
How I know if I’m a good converter. I have low cortisol all day long and below is my lab test. Please advise. Taking T4 70 mcg/T3 18 mcg. I struggle to add T3 even in small doses.

Does this look more Euthyroid and less central hypo now?
Hello everyone, This is my 4th thyroid test (all testing advice adhered to, tests between 9.00-9.40am) over the last 6 months since joining HU and asking for advice. It looks to me like T4 has started to raise. I've listed below all 4 tests for comparison. It's now 47% through the range which seems

Reviews and recommendations
Hi, I was taking T3 over the counter which improved my symptoms substantially. I then had a heart attack late January and was told it was down to the T3 which I’m not convinced of. So I want to go down the road of talking to a doctor who knows what they’re talking about with T3. I’m full time disabled

Possible Overmedication Woes
I switched to T4/T3 combo in December, I'm self sourcing Tiromel. I was at that point taking 200mcg of Levo, felt okish but felt T3 could be higher it was 5.2 on a range of 3.1-6.8. This was a private test in October. I didnt want to add more Levo so following advice decoded to try some T3. Added 6.25mcg
