Ulcers
Does anyone have a recommended medication for ulcers? My doctor prescribed Daktarin, but the info in the packet said not to take it if you are on blood thinners, which I am, so that is a no go!

Blood thinners may improve survival among hospitalized COVID-19 patients.
The study found that hospitalized COVID-19 patients treated with
anticoagulants
had improved outcomes both in and out of the intensive care unit setting. The research also showed that the difference in bleeding events among patients treated with and without
anticoagulants
was not significant.

Clinic letter gives some clarity
Now I’ve got the clinic letter and some details are clarified. I still need to wait for the 3 month test for formal diagnosis, but they have already tested twice about 10 days apart. Both times showed strong positives for Anticardiolipin antibodies and beta-2 glycoprotein 1 antibodies. Fortunately

Should I see a Rheumatologist?
I was diagnosed with PMR in January. Started on Prednisolone 30mg and now down to 20mg. I am also on blood thinners, anti cholesterol, stomach protection and now Calcium and Vitamin D with Alendronic acid. Would love to reduce medication particularly the Alendronic Acid. Should I see a Rhumotologist

Apixaban
Morning quick question I take Apixaban and have just seen on tv if you are on an anticoagulant you should not be eating leafy green veg! Being a vegetarian I eat a fair amount! I thought this was only if you were taking Warfarin!

Frightening hospital stay and advice needed can't go on at home like this!
Feel dreadful and would so appreciate some advice! I follow alot of this forum on AF and have done for 4 years. I find it so helpful and all you afibbers understand how awful it feels. I had AF diagnosed after a stressful time caring for my own mum when she was ill and it started just before she died

Risks of stroke vs. bleeding
I’m 72 but quite active, biking, ladders, etc. I’ve talked to two cardiologists and they say it’s a toss-up between the risks of the blood thinner (severe internal bleeding following a head injury for example) and the risks of blood clot/stroke. That’s why I wrote for comments on the forum.

Ablation all done!
Cardiologist came to see me at 9.50 and said they would do it under sedation rather than General anaesthetic as planned (this was because I'd been able to tolerate the
anticoagulants
so did not need the toe). I was horrified but it was fine .

Blood Clot in right leg
Hi Friends, Need some support for a new development in my on going treatment for lung cancer. Two weeks ago I finished my 2 three day treatments of adjuvant chemo. Was looking forward to recovery after 7 months of treatments. Then I went for a walk and my right calf began to tighten and ache. Thought

Stage 2 CKD
I’m new here and petrified. I’m 57 year old Caucasian female. After a year of extremely high blood pressure that takes 4-5 different medicines to somewhat control, I just got diagnosed with stage 2 chronic kidney disease. My only symptom was clear urine. I have had lupus for over 30 years, so I guess

Do you know when you're having afib?
I had afib for six months before an ablation in November 2016. In October I'd started using a CPAP machine. I also have a Pacemaker for bradycardia; it keeps track of any afib episodes, and I've had none since the ablation. The question is whether I should stay on the Xeralto, blood thinner to counter

Hi Everyone
Thank you all again for being here for me. I did end up at the Rheumatology day unit yesterday afternoon to be given an infusion of 500mgs of a different steroid Solumedrone and then a blood thinner or water to flush through the steroids. I was told they would start taking effect this weekend and this

Two Miscarriages and now waiting for blood tests
Hi, I am new to this group. I am 34, and am trying for my first baby for 3 years. I had two miscarriages. One was a year ago at 7 weeks(twins) and one was very early days - a chemical pregnancy last month. I have pushed for investigations and I have been sent a blood test form (Through NHS) to have APS

BLOOD THINNERS
Blood thinners Been taking Pradaxa 120 mg for approximately 5 years for afib with no problems. My doctor has changed my blood thinner next month from Pradaxa to Xarelto (Rivaroxaban) . I cannot find any good reviews for Xarelto (Rivaroxaban) , everything is negative. Anyone had any experience with

Well, it's been a rollercoaster of a month for me... my infection did not seem to improve with the removal of the port and the oral antibiotics. The doctor wanted me to go to the ER to get IV antibiotics put into to me. Ordinarily wouldn't mind going to the ER but with a pandemic going on, I was very
