warfarin BHF
Hi the BHF publish info on warfarin and safe limits of alcohol, this is well researched and informative to those taking the
anticoagulants
warfarin. I found it helpful information as it’s best to know. Medical advice is alcohol in moderation sounds right.

Nattokinase and Edoxaban together...but in Different Hours. Is it Dangerous or Could it Work?
I have ordered Nattokinase because I suspect that all the
anticoagulants
will give you problems in the long run making the arteries calcified. I want to completely stop with Edoxaban but it's too dangerous, so I'm thinking about reducing the dosage over time.

Late as usual: Aberfforest -- the easy way to the other side
I was administered strong
anticoagulants
and sent home. "Don't fall over," was my parting instruction. That evening, an electrical lead decided it would be fun to see what would happen if I did fall. I tripped, landed on my right leg with a wallop and within a minute was struggling to breathe.

Bearing in mind I’m on
anticoagulants
I’m very restricted on what I can take so can anyone in a similar situation offer any advice . I have 3 large dogs which need walks daily and I go to the gym twice a week to stay fit so cannot restrict movement and doesn’t recommend me doing so .

HAS ANYBODY HAD THEIR ASPIRIN & CLOPIDOGREL STOPPED IN FAVOUR OF NOAC (New Oral Coagulants) ??
Following recent tests and Holter testing, my Cardiac Consultant feels one of the NOAC's : Apixaban/Rivaroxaban/Dabigatran, new generation
anticoagulants
, would offer me better protection against a further stroke than my current medication of 5 years standing.

nausea
since being on
anticoagulants
alcohol does not agree with me. Red wine tastes like vinegar and also causes nausea. I miss having a small tot of whiskey as that upsets my stomach too. Has anybody else experienced this side effect?

LFT with High Billi
Her INR fluctuated between 1 and a high of 1.6 although they had her on
anticoagulants
. Does this look like Decompensated Cirrhosis?

It is (and this from the orginator some years ago) an aide memoir of things to consider and treat if possible before giving
anticoagulants
. It is not, in other words, a direct contra.

Anticoagulants
It seems that all the
anticoagulants
have much the same side effects and they all do much the same job of thinning the blood to reduce the risk of stroke. We really do understand that. It is the side effects, particularly the 'bleeding' that bothers us.

Warfarin side effects.
I am unable to tolerate the new
anticoagulants
, so this is my only option. I keep getting chills every couple of months. I have good diet with plenty of vitamin C and D. I have just visited Dr. Google and it said chills and feeling cold can be a side effect.

Cataract surgery and anticoagulants
I'll be having cataract surgery soon and I'm wondering if any of you were told to discontinue
anticoagulants
before the procedure. I haven't received any instructions yet regarding medications but I'm just curious as to what to expect.

Doacs v Warfarin
I am considering transferring to one of the new
anticoagulants
(DOACs , NOACs) I hesitate because I have he'd 2 life threatening gastro intestinal bleeds ( 2008 and 20140. Do the new range of
anticoagulants
have as effective a reversal agent as Vitamin K is for Warfarin?

Face looking flushed with Edoxaban
Hello Has anyone got redness down the sides of their nose taking Edoxaban or similar
anticoagulants
? This seems to be getting worse since I started the tablets in February. Especially interested in any ladies getting this problem, plus are you having any hot flushes and night sweats too.

pain killers
Im going to ask him about painkillers to help with the back pain and I want to know which one is effective and suitable for me with AF and taking regular
anticoagulants
. I’ve only ever used Paracetamol in the past as I’m concerned about raising my HR but they are not any use with this type of pain.
