Nosebleed
Hi members seeking help as usual. I just had a severe nosebleed requiring hospital admission and very painful procedures. They were blaming my anticoagulant (I have been on it without any problems for 8 years) but I had my booster 48 hours before is this significant. I have never had a nosebleed before

In need of answers from others taking Apixaban as to supplements Tumeric and Botswella, anti-inflammatories and pain meds.
I am getting conflicting information regarding Tumeric and Botswella with apixaban for paroxysmal afib with no episodes for almost two years. Since beginning apixaban two years ago, I have had severe back pain, ankle pain, side pains, lethargy, strange sharp pains in miscellaneous places. Prior

Can heart pounding ectopics come with pulsating head pressure?
I am new here, but have already found the site to be very informative and helpful. For more than a year now, almost daily and usually at the end of the day, I have been experiencing pulsating head pressure and sometimes a sense of dizziness. The head pulsations often seem to sync with heart pounding

creating a warfarin app - how should it look like to you?
hi everyone - I have looked around the internet for good apps that can help you manage your INR level but I haven't found any. As my hematologist is considering switching my anticoagulant from Fragmin to warfarin, I would like to create an app that makes my life easier on this medication. I code, so

With food? Empty stomach? Take all together with or without food?
(sigh) I guess I need a consensus again, as ideally, I'd like to consolidate my medication into a better schedule if possible. At 9 a.m. every day, I take metoprolol with a bit of food. At 11:00 a.m., I take Pradaxa, an anticoagulant, and Flecainide, on an empty stomach. Twelve hours later at 11pm

8 week update post ablation for paroxysmal afib .
Hi all, I had a call from cardiologist/ep last night. I have been sending in alivecor readings regularly to document afib recurrance. I have my follow up appointment next Thursday. So, 8.5 weeks out and I'm continuing to have symptomatic paroxysmal afib. 👎 In fairness, I was warned about the possibility

Stomach issue's
I have AF and a pacemaker fitted. I have to have the camera down, there is either something wrong or the beta blockers are causing problems ( Could be either ) I don't want to have it done, had it done twice before and both experiences were horrendous. This is even worse because I am on blood thinners

After unsuccessful Cardioversion yesterday, what's next?
I had my first procedure yesterday since being diagnosed with AF in June. I have persistent, asymptomatic AF. I'm 68, have normal BP and heart rate, am not overweight. The one medication I take is Xarelto, 20mg. They made three attempts yesterday to put my heart back into normal rhythm through

Hello I have tested positive for the above for the second time now and with unexplained bruising, years of migraines my GP wonders if I might have APS. all other bloods were negative, cardiolipin( I think) and the lupus anticoagulant. GP has referred me back to rheumatology where I was referred to joint

Reconsidering Vinpocetine - Not Feeling Well Today
Vinpocetine may slow blood clotting and should be avoided in people with bleeding disorders or who take
anticoagulants
like Coumadin (warfarin) or anti-platelet drugs like Plavix (clopidogrel).

Pill in pocket
Look forward to comments. Seems my cardiologist wants to cover all the bases (more medications = better protection). GP agreed I should try coming off flecainide. Taking Xarelto blood thinner to be safe. Use Apple Watch and take ECG readings at every opportunity. Five days ago I went off flecainide

Should I have gone to A&E?
I have only recently been diagnosed with Paroxysmal AFib. I'm on beta blockers and blood thinners and awaiting investigations. My first appointment with cardiology is next week. I can't get to see my GP as there was an incident at the surgery and it remains closed until further notice. I am still having

Radiation urethritis lead to Hydro-nephrosis - ? nephrostomy tube
Both of my dear husbands ureters were damaged from pelvic radiation from a year and half ago and caused about 3 inches of ureter scar tissue to the kidney which lead to both right and left kidneys to now have hydro-nephrosis. He has been in so much pain for the last 3 months. Over the last 5 1/2 years
