Update on "Zytiga failed, Xtandi next" from 8 days ago
My "winter" MO (Fl vs Mass) says the active hip lesion means the Zytiga is failing, at least at that one area only but recommends Xtandi and I am now hormone resistant after 19 months on ADT plus Zytiga/prednisone. I asked my "summer" MO the following. [i]"Is it possible that the hip lesion is the

Glucose
I have stage four prostate cancer and have been taking Zytiga, Prednisone, and Lupron for 5 and 1/2 years. My PSA is 0.049 and my testosterone is -7. Have any of you had an increase in your glucose level? In my last four blood tests, my glucose has gone from 115 to a little over 200. Could Prednisone

Radiation treatments for oligometastatic lesions
I have read on here and it’s just an observation from reading bios of different patients “ we treated the bone Mets and psa exploded afterwards “. my question is: could the reason for that being the effects of the SBRT or whatever kind of radiation to the Mets ? More than once I have noticed that.

biochemical re-occurrence
For those who had biochemical re-occurrence and were treated with ADT and radiation what has been your outcome over the years? basically, what I am asking were you cured and had a favorable outcome? How many years have you been with a low PSA, no further issues or, for that matter cured?

How long on Erleada?
MyGuy went to a new MO, (we just moved and thought we’d find one closer) and he mentioned stopping Erleada in 6 months if scans still look good and PSA is still undetectable. Our understanding was if it’s working, and the side effects are tolerable, you would keep going till something changed. We’re

High Lactate Dehydrogenase LDH
Can anyone inform me if a high LDH is normal post prostatectomy, op was in September 2022. Results just back for LDH. PSA however has twice now been 0.01, great news. Just thinking if the LDH is high because of post op recovery. I also realise it can be high for other reasons. I have been feeling

pSMA scan question
If you get a pSMA scan and you have prostate cancer that metastasized does it alway express PSMA? What cases will it not? Also when psa goes up does that necessarily mean there are new metastasis or can it just means same ones are active again?

One cancer apparently not enough!
I had a really good result from PSMA-PET scan in November 2022. PSA had bottomed out to 0.04 over six months. But PSMA did indicate one slight met on L4. January 2023, PSA had risen to 1.9. I elected to have targeted radiation to the L4. No complications or side effects, but two weeks after the

Moving to 6 month psa check
I wonder if anyone in this forum felt like they wish they would have stayed with the 3 month psa check rather than moving to 6 month psa checks

I could use some advice in Tennessee
I was diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2017 - Gleason 6 - Active Surveillance - Remained same until July 2022 when PSA jumped over 4 again. In July, showing Gleason 7 in 10 of 12 biopsies. MRI in December including prostate and pelvic floor shows contained in the prostate with no external lesions.

PHASE 3 ECLIPSE STUDY FOR (MCRPC) PATIENTS- FIRST INFUSION OF Lutetium- 177
Just had my 1st infusion of Lutetium- 177, 3/9/23, in the Eclipse Trial. Received 216.0 mCi of Lutetium- 177, after receiving ondansetron (Zofran) (for possible nausea) & 0.9% Saline Solution. Continued the Saline Solution for 1 hr. after infusion, also. The Technician said the LU 177 was manufactured

Any suggestions for headache?
After initial diagnosis in 2015, I've had EBRT; brachytherapy; chemo in 2019; ADT since 2019 chemo; two bone Mets on spine since 2019, but no detectable PSA. Have been on Orgovyx since December, 2020. Still have everyday, lowgrade --- not migraine --- headaches, for which I take Excedrin. In talking

What is the standard of Care for PSA Checks after 41 months of <0.01, with high decipher score, EPE and + Margins?
Also, if PSA becomes detectable do you radiate all of the prostate bed and lymph nodes, and use hormones? I was told by RO & Urologists if it ever becomes detectable to do early salvage, but no mention of where to radiate or if hormones should be used (I know new information comes out all the time).

Movin on up
PSMA scan came back with 4 uptakes in upper spine. No spec like SUV but the writings on the scan. I think we found it. Have my quarterly appt tomorrow but MO is sure its the cancer we are looking for that's causing my increasing PSA. So yay? I am guessing if there's a preferential location for recurrence

Long term side effects from salvage radiation after radical prostatectomy
Hi folks, I'm considering salvage radiation (~34 treatments) after a prostatectomy where the PSA didn't drop below .2. I'd like to get a feel for how common the long term side effects of Salvage radiation (to bladder, bowel, hemorrhoids, etc.) are, by hearing your experiences. Thanks in advance.
