Hello brothers. In 12 months of ADT vacatión (with no medication) my PSA has risen slowly but steadily, from . 2 to .9. Not sure weather to feel good or worry. Any advice?

If you are feeling good then get some ice cream. Keep watching and eventually you'll get a scan to see what's going on.

I was on Orgovyx for 55 weeks. PSA dropped to 0.01. I’ve been on ADT vacation for 15 months. PSA now at 0.58. Urologic oncologist says I’ll do a PSMA PET scan when my PSA hits 2.00 unless it begins to accelerate. I know I’ll be back on Orgovyx at some point but I’d like to stretch that until 2024, if possible. I had RRP in 2011 and made it ten years before ADT had to begin.

If it was me, I would get a psma scan NOW.

I believe the present standard of care for living the longest is to NOT take vacations. However- there is merit for those who don’t want to have to deal with the side effects of treatment to take a “vacation”. How much of a vacation and how large the negative impact on extending life from taking a vacation, I think remain unknown. I myself took 3 vacations more than 5 years ago but my last one only lasted a few months before my PSA started rising. And, I also took my vacations before the science apparently established that those who are treated continuously, live longer, than those who aren’t. Taking a vacation comes with some risk but it’s a personal choice.

There are random clinical trials that proved that IADT is not not less than cADT
