Vitamin B and stents
I then looked at taking these after
angioplasty
, on the research I read I will not be taking them as it seems they could be detrimental to the stent site remaining blockage free.

Worried for my father
My father aged 58 had a widow maker heart attack in September 2020 and had initially ignored symptoms leading to delayed
angioplasty
by 4 days, where two stents were placed.

Re earlier post on different forum.
You would have thought drug therapy would have commenced immediately to prevent either a stroke or heart attack but NO, it wasn’t until i had the
angioplasty
in mid January which was followed by a mild stroke that they then started me on blood thinners.

Adrenal gland mass and a whole lot of other stuff (falling to bits)
I also have diabetes type 2, coronary artery disease (stent &
angioplasty
) and I have non alcoholic fatty liver disease. Then I have fibromyalgia too. I feel awful all the time, tired, sore and I am worried sick about it all. GP just makes referrals she can’t answer any questions.

His broken heart
He refused
angioplasty
2 years ago, they just did one and found all these issues only open heart surgery can resolve. How can I sop being angry and so damn terrified without losing my mind. I walk every day it’s my savior. I cry alone all the time. I tried online therapy I hated it.

Life Insurance
I turned 45 years of age six days after my angiogram/
angioplasty
. You would have thought that being a mum of two young adult children, I’d have got life insurance sorted. Sadly life simply got in the way and it just didn’t happen. I do feel guilty about that.

How long to get better?
So my question is: how long does it take to heal after an
angioplasty
, etc? Meds such as bisoprolol slow my heart beat. Is this part of it? Thanks. This forum is great.

Massive setback…😡😢😡😢😡😢
I subsequently went to the Harefield for
angioplasty
and a stent was inserted BUT this, for whatever reason, triggered a mild/ mini stroke. Despite clear imaging on the brain my left side got weakened along with blurred vision and it is this which has spooked the transplant team.

How often should a heart condition take place.
This was followed by
angioplasty
on 20 Feb 2020. This was followed up by my local hospital in March 2020 with various tests and I was advised that I did not sustain any damage to my heart at this time. Since then I have not had a review by my GP or hospital of my heart condition at all in 2020.

What a week!
Went up to hospital for
angioplasty
stent to ensure heart was pumping like a racehorses for eventual double lung transplant. Bosh… STROKE on the trolly and before i know it left arm and leg weakened but more worrying is LEFT HEMIANOPIA , a 50% loss of vision.

Holidays
I did take Clodiprogrel until a month ago but it has been over 12 months since I had an
angioplasty
and two stents fitted one in each coronary artery, the doctor says I have narrowing of the arteries and need to take the rest of the drugs for life. Not for now but for later.

Balloon but no stent
So a question: A friend has just had an HA with primary PCI (so suffered a STEMI i guess) but has just had balloon
angioplasty
without a stent for treatment. Reading up this seems uncommon with 80% of cardiac
angioplasty
procedures appatently resulting in a stent emplacement.

STEMI, feeling low and anyone tested for familial hypercholestrolemia.
Hi All, on 25th Oct, I had a STEMI on LAD, luckily managed to reach the hospital and emergency
angioplasty
was carried out. I am now recovering but has surely left a long term impact both physically and mentally. I am 47 and now with Low EF and generally feeling low.

Post angioplasty 'angina attack' - confused.
3 weeks after a stent was inserted and all other arteries were stated as 'pristine' , I have had difficulty getting back to full physical activity. Yesterday I was 5 minutes into a short walk when I suddenly felt all energy go and had to stop... there was no pain, very minor breathlessness (if at all

Booked in for angiogram/angioplasty Tuesday
Had heart issues ‘angina’ for 16 years now 4th angiogram believes 2 stent’s now needed, even though been here before, I am worried about procedure. Having mvd test at same time, currently breathless on walking , hoping for old life back! Worried!

Fatigue and meds
Hi all, I had a heart attack in 2020, given balloon
angioplasty
and a stent, since then been on a morning dose of bisoprolol 1.25mg. I suffer very bad sleep patterns and fatigue, I read here some take it at different times yet my prescription just says "daily". Is it safe to try an evening slot?
