I’m worried about my Nan...
My nan had an abdominal
aneurysm
which had grown large & needed surgery. She is 83. She had her surgery last week and the doctors were pleased with how the surgery went. However, she has been in ICU since, on a ventilator and sedation. She’s also on dialysis as her kidneys aren’t working.

Disastrous holiday
Just returned from holiday, in Majorca, having had two episodes of possible Tia, out of ten days spent seven in hospital, where been told they were seizures, Tia's or pressure from

A GOOD READ by ROBERT MCCRUM
I can't remember which...memory being a deficit for me since my right frontal lobe got nuked by
aneurysm
popping! It is a very good read for anyone who has got a BI due to a haemorrhage; mine was a SAH back in August 2016.

Hey, new to community. Just a bit about me. 😎
Now 7.5 years later just several months ago was diagnosed with incidental finding of 8.5 mm cerebral brain
aneurysm
. I was admitted to Jefferson following week and treated (thank God for modern technology) with a flow diversion stent. Have follow up this month to check on progress. Fingers crossed.

Traveling questions
Greetings All, It’s been 8 months since my
aneurysm
and surgery. I am flying this week and taking a week long cruise. Has anyone experienced any complications with either after their surgery? I still limit my mental stimulation activities and mindful when I experience stimulation in my head.

She had a 5.5cm aortic

aneurysm
and a bovine valve installed in 2018. Now tapering the prednisone. I was diagnosed with GCA with vision loss nov 10, 2017; followed by GCA induced stroke 20 days later.

Freaking myself out
It felt a bit queasy for a few seconds then I freaked and instantly thought “ oh shit...abdominal
aneurysm
or stomach cancer and instant flare of panic. I talked myself through it but where did that even come from??? Now I’m trying to mask my anxiety with family here and freaked.

Hypochondriac help? PGAD
Before this syndrome, it was heart attack, stroke, cancer, seizure, brain tumor,
aneurysm
, diabetes, etc. but it seems like this one has made those fears look like a piece of cake! (Despite me going to the hospital twice thinking something was wrong with my heart).

Wife in turmoil
I do appreciate this, but as a bystander with no experience of the recovery of somebody who has had an
aneurysm
, is this deterioration normal? On Saturday he was cheerful and picking up on things, but the last two days he has been like a shell.

Any composers / musicians with Mechanical Heart Valves? Please help!
I have been strongly recommended to have a mechanical heart valve to replace my bicuspid aortic valve, and I also have to have a graft on my aortic root as I have an
aneurysm
. I may still get the choice to have the valve repaired or a tissue valve instead, but not sure.

Confused and concerned
I asked him if I would die of a brain
aneurysm
and he said no, prescribed me with meclazine for the dizziness. 3 days later, I had a stroke. I had a vertebral artery dissection (VAD) that the doctors said was caused from the impact of the fall even if I didn’t hit my head.
