Rebleed

My husband had a ruptured aneurysm 3 months ago and is still in our local hospital waiting for a place at a rehab centre. Today he complained of a severe headache and a CT scan found that 2 New bleeds have occurred (apparently nothing to worry about)!! He had the aneurysm coiled so a bit confused about where the new blood is from!! Any advice would be greatly appreciated x

Make an appointment to talk to your husband's consultant and ask him if he can explain why the re-bleed occurred and what does 'Nothing to worry about' actually mean ? I'm not sure anyone here has the medical knowledge to advise you on this subject m'dear. I had a Subarachnoid haemorrhage which was coiled and which has left me with various after-effects, but I have no understanding of the hows & whys I'm afraid.

As next of kin, you're entitled to a full explanation of your husband's health issues.

Good luck m'dear........ and best wishes for your man's rehab & continuing progress. Cat xx
