Why does everyone seem to have permanent tinnitus here?
What is the cause of permanent tinnitus? This is so worrying, as my tinnitus started this month due to ear canal infection. Would this be permanent? I have been prescribed otomize. Would that be helpful?

Update- Moderna Spikevax
Just to update. Received blood result and all within rang with the exception of Lymphocyte count which 3.1 only slightly over range. CPR 4 g/L, ESR 2. Which rules out PMR flare. So onwards and upwards, definitely downwards with Pred.-so pleased. I am now wondering whether the muscle paralysis I had

Extremely tired of chemical castration
I'm interested in chatting with those who have had an orchiectomy, guess thats how you spell it. I'm tired of all the side affects of cancer drugs and all the problems they cause to my body so I'm concidering having an orchiectomy. Yes I know all about what happens when you get this but as far as I'm

Interesting Article (please read)
came across this article today and would like to know your thoughts: i was swayed by flashy advertising in the late 1990s featuring medical stars like Professor Lord Winston, who convinced me that omega-3 fish oil supplements were essential for my brain and my heart. Fast forward to today, and

Hi All! I was diagnosed in Nov of 2022 with stage 4b lung cancer and later, in May of 2023 with ovarian cancer. Not a metastisis but a second primary cancer. I’ve been a runner my whole life - almost 60 - and have lived a pretty “clean” life. So…all of this was pretty crazy. I had to go off the targeted

Clear Cell Progression
Here is an update on my treatment for ovarian clear cell carcinoma, which I guess has now moved into Stage IV (started 1a). My taxol/carboplatin & Avastin chemotherapy treatment was discontinued after 3 infusions, as CT scan showed progression of tumors, and invasion into my liver. The doctors at UCSF

Hi everyone and Happy New Year
my name is Jill and it’s been along while since I’ve posted anything. I was diagnosed in 1999. Aged 39. Despite being very unwell for months and being ‘fobbed ’ off by my Gp. By the time I was diagnosed I had Saddle Nose deformity. Like alot of you even as a nurse I was very scared and felt alone

Dana Farber 2nd opinion?
I just got back my PET/CT results from yesterday. Bad! I have never had so much progression. Little spots, some new, some growing from last time, mostly in thoracic and lung area. Apparently, ribociclib (Kisqali) + exemestane didn't work at all. That is the last of the CDK4/6 inhibitors and ER inhibitors

Walsh's Folly?
I posted earlier that I had to ask ChatGPt "who came up with the 'gasoline on a fire' characterization regarding the relationship of testosterone and prostate cancer" and that Chat GPT had answered -- Dr. Patrick Walsh -- (father of the radical prostatectomy.) In that post, discussion turned to Walsh's
