Amoxicillin and CLL
My husband had a tooth extracted and was prescribed amoxicillin to prevent infection. After 2 days, no infection but he has chills, icy aches and headaches. But no fever. As a precaution he took a COVID test which is negative. He has no energy and is sleeping most of the day. Has anyone else experienced

IBS attack after antibiotics
Took Amoxicillin (7days) and Co Amoxiclav (5days) for a bad sinus/ear infection. Got some diarrhoea on the first day of the second lot (tried to consult 111, eventually gave up) by the second day symptoms improved so I carried on taking it. Around 10 days later started with diarrhoea, tummy and backache

Use of Antibiotics
I blame my IBS on the constant use of antibiotics for urine infections. I haven’t taken any antibiotics for about 4 years now but have today been prescribed an antibiotic, Amoxicillin for a tooth infection. I’m now concerned about it making my IBS worse. I have it pretty well under control. I take a

Doxycycline, Cyproflaxacin, followed by hospitalisation and two weeks of Tazocin and Ceftazidome. Nothing has worked. I have never been given anything nebulised. Any ideas

Gut microbiome ruined.
Does anyone have any advice please.I recently had to have a week's course of Amoxicillin for a UTI. It's completely trashed my microbiome. I have been living on white toast with a scraping of yeast extract for the last fortnight and taking probiotic supplements. Even chicken with white rice has me dashing

Co-Amoxiclav side effects with Disopyramide/AF?
Hi, just started taking Co-amoxiclav as an antibiotic, and now seem to be getting an increase in AF symptoms. Still taking Disopyramide, but this seems to be less effective at rate control than it has been previously. No Caffeine, no alcohol, so no obvious triggers. Anyone else experienced this?

Hi,I was diagnosed with mild asthma in 20 14, but rarely needed blue inhaler. During the pandemic I fell ill with a tubo ovarian abcess which I was hospitalised for week . This made me quite ill for a few months and as a result I didn't exercise as much and gained some weight. After everything went back

Which antibiotic to choose and tips...
I have IBS-D and recently have had amazing success using Xifaxan. It is the first thing that has worked to control my symptoms in 5+ years. Honestly, it's been life changing for me - I have been able to socialize with friends again and have even been able to enjoy a few foods that I never thought I'd

Asthma flare up any advice?
First time poster! Just looking for any experiences from other members. I had asthma as a child, seemed to resolve. Seemed to possibly develop again in 2018 following a chest infection and diagnosed in 2020 triggered by mould in a property I was living in! I currently take clenil 100 mcg twice a day

My thyroid story-Part 1, Thyroiditis
My story is likely very similar to many others on here but I thought it might help someone in their own experience with thyroid disease or maybe they can give me some pointers on what to expect in the future. Back in November 2022, both my husband and I got a very bad virus and were both sick for quite
