Colon problems or what??
Hi all- I am just curious to know if anyone out there has/had had the same symptoms as me: At Christmas (2015) I had all symptoms of a bad sinus infection/flu. It put me under the bed. I was never officially diagnosed with anything but the doctor gave me amoxicillin and sterroid. I recovered beautifully

Amoxicillin dosage with Bronchiectasis
Hi all, I have bronchiectasis and have constant chest infections which wont clear. My doctor has just prescribed me with amoxicillin 500mg 2 tablets 3 x a day for 2 weeks. This seems a high dose but I am happy to try if it will help. Has anybody else had this dosage? Thanks Andy

chest infection or not ??
I started 2 weeks ago feeling out of breath so I went to my docs...when he asked the usual questions of "coughing up green etc" I replied yes as I thought it would come but I would get in first with amoxicillin and the 6 little white steroid pills. Anyway after the 1st week I felt no better, I was given

Gallbladder?
Hi all To cut a long story short I went to my GP a week ago complaining about right abdominal pain spreading to back and shoulder. When I go toilet it stings when urinating. Done a blood test and tested positive for H Pylori bug. Given triple therapy containing Omeprazole, clarithromycin and amoxicillin

Chest infection/asthma flare-up lingering on
Hi, I'm new here, and struggling with a recent flare-up. I had asthma as a child/teenager, mainly triggered by cigarette smoke and colds, but seemed to 'grow out of it' after I left school. I've had very few issues as an adult and hadn't been on a preventer for years. But I started with a chest infection

Worried
Yet another long winded stressed out post by yours truly...... Rheumy stopped my mtx 3 weeks ago when they found an infection while testing my  bone marrow protein in a urine sample. I had no symptoms at the time. Lab tests showed the bug to be nitrofurantoin sensitive so was prescribed that antibiotic

CLL - dental problems link
I had an infection under a tooth & it was agreed the dentist would extract the tooth (I had Amoxicillin as antibiotic - as a side issue it was interesting for me, and my dentist, to learn that medicine options no longer all come wrapped in non-veggie gel - you have to tell them though - Â although I

Infection or not?
I'm a COPD old fart. I was originally prescribed 2 lpm oxygen for 16 hrs a day. I sleep with a nasal cannula/concentrater connection. I was comfortable without oxygen support for long periods during the day but will connect to a portable liquid oxygen supply if I undertake anything really "strenuous

Steroids and antibiotics
After battling an exarcebation for five days it finally developed into a chest infection so I have been prescribed prednisolone and amoxicillin. I need to rest for the chest infection but pred always makes me hyper. Got about four hours sleep last night and although I feel terrible I am bouncing off

Laughing and coughing
Hi...I'm new here and I have a burning question. Is laughing and coughing linked to asthma? Do any of you suffer with this problem? When I'm well I get a bit of cough when I laugh but nothing major. At the moment I have a cold/virus and on antibiotics to cover any possible infection due to Bronchiectasis
