Why all these PPI are not working for me?
I have been diagnosed beginning of April with esophageal reflux, acid gastritis, duodenal ulcers and inflamed Xiphoid process. They gave me a steroid injection on my Xiphoid which aggravated the ulcers. Don’t ask me why they did that?! I took pantoprazole for three weeks didn’t help and now for a week

Does anyone have suggestions for oral medications before trying Biologics? See below for details.
It has been a while since I have posted because, thankfully, things have been stable. However, that has changed. I wanted to see if anyone has ideas about oral medications for RA. I started with methatrexate (had terrible mouth ulcers), then tried Areva and had hair loss. I tried Sulfrasalazine and got

I cured myself of PMR without Steriods.
THIS IS NOT A TREATMENT THAT PMR/GCAUk RECOMMENDS. Yellowbluebell, moderator I was diagnosed with PMR last Jan. 2019. I did not take any steroids but I did take Chinese herbal supplements, changed my diet to more vegetarian and used yoga and Tai Chi as my ways of stretching my body. I took the supplements

Attempting to Defeat RA Naturally
I was diagnosed with RA last year at 55 years old. My rheumatologist prescribed mobic and methotrexate at a later appointment. I took the mobic till my fingers stayed swollen and my blood pressure stayed elevated. I never took methotrexate because the list of side affects freaked me out. I eventually

Does Sulfasalazine work?
Hello! I have RA and I am currently on methotrexate, plaquenil, mobic, and most recently sulfasalizine. I also take prednisone when I have a flare. I have only been on the sulfasalazine for approx one month, 2 pills daily. I am just now able to take this medication without it causing extreme acid reflux

Side effects ugh
I’m on diflucan and mobic and I feel terrible. Spasms in my feet are driving me crazy. It’s been a hard week. Stomach flu aches and pains are feeding my anxiety. To top it off we had to drive 40 miles in a snow storm to get home last night. 😬

Questions (always)
My question is this..how long is the average for staying on 20mg of pred? I was having troubles at the initial dose of 15mg so after two weeks of that I asked to go up to 20mg since 15 was not working well..what was the point, if I'm taking pred it may as well work, right? I stayed on 20mg for 32 days

What has helped your pain the most after VM?
I thought i would start a little post about what has helped me get thru the past months. I see us all suffer so much and there could be knowledge one of us has that someone else doesnt. We all help each other right! For me, I added glucosamine and magnesium supplements to my daily intake. (Calcium

Mini update
I have been waiting not so patiently for my rheumatologist appointment at the end of August after my new neurologist felt my MS tests were inconclusive and would be repeated next spring. I started feeling really poorly again several weeks ago, I mostly sucked it up because my body makes zero sense

Treating the pain
Hello, I wondering if I am the outcast here...my first rheumatologist gave me narcotic pain meds to treat the pain while we try meds to control the disease. She said this was common practice and that I should not be concerned with it and once we find the right medacine I will no longer need them and

Leflunomide
Hello everyone! I hope everyone is doing well. So a couple of weeks ago I had a serious reaction to methotrexate and my doctor had me stop it and prescribed leflunomide , so to say the least I am pretty scared to start it. Today is my first day of taking it along with my Plaquenil, Mobic and Prednsione

Newbie to site
I'm new to the site and just saying hello all. Wish I had found this years ago. I'm 47 and have had RA for 22 years. Been on every treatment out there and now am on Rituxan infusions, Arava, methotrexate and Mobic. I'm wondering if anyone else has had significant hair loss and if anything has helped?

Does anyone else have so many problems?
I was diagnosed with Colitis in 2009 after multiple hospitalisations with
amoebic
dysentery
when I was living in South East Asia. That was all horrible for a while, but it came under control after hospitalisation thanks to Masalazine and I've only had two flares since, all great so far.
