19th Consolidation Run
I completed my first 5K on the Nike Running Club app. I feel very proud of myself for completing this run. I had a friend along today who pushed me when I felt like stopping. However, according to my FitBit it was only 4.88km and my friend said it was the same by his Strava, so I think next time I will

Is it dangerous to stop attenolol suddenly
I have been on attenolol 25mg for 20 years. Gp now changed medication to amlodipine 5mg. Reason heart beat 40 to 45. However i train fairly intensively 3 or 4 times a week. Is it dangerous to suddenly cut off attenolol.

High blood oressure
Hi, Just been discharged from hospital, went in with high blood pressure of 230/110. Been given Amlodipine tablets 5mg to take once a day. I asked two doctor’s and they said it is ok to take with my thyroxine, but just wanted to check on here as most medications I’ve read should be taken at least

play harmonica with a good heart
Fit as a fiddle til 51 when the bad genes from Mum and Dad kicked in. They both smoked and Dad had TB & Rheumatic fever as a lad, so he was suddenly carried away by a heart attack aged 51 and she ended up with a teflon aorta ten years later. I was surprised as I was a cyclist and kept very fit, stopped

Anyone taken Doxazosin and suffered vertigo?
My Mum who is 86 has had issues with her bp meds and potassium levels etc. The doc put her on Amlodipine which did the trick as far as her bp and potassium and salt levels , but made her feet, ankles and lower legs swell. She's now been taken off Amlodipine and given Doxasozin instead, she is very frightened

Amlodipine and urination
I’ve been on 5mg of Amlodipine for a month then increased to 7.5mg for another month and am experiencing the need to urinate every 2hrs or so .... I’ve spoke to GP who says this is not related to this medication... does anyone have a similar side effect???

Amlodipine
Hi until recently I was on 5mg of Amlodipine & 2.5 Bendroflumethiazide. 3 weeks ago it was increased to 10mg as my BP was getting too high. Since then I have been waking up 2,3 times a night feeling extremely hot, even though the room is very cold. I have not been sweating but have to take all the covers
