Can ablation make arrhythmia worse? Being wise in selecting the options.
The EP suggests strong antiarrhythmics now (propafenone,
amiodarone
etc) that could well be taken before the ablation, with better outcome, when I had just plenty of PVC's.

life sucks
So, stopped
amiodarone
because it was killing me. Then, AFib comes back stunningly. So, back on
amiodarone
again. I figure I'm screwed either way, until I get an appointment for the ablation thing. what is one to do?

Bypass surgery burning, nausea from Amiodarone
Has anyone else experienced these symptoms with the ingestion of
Amiodarone
? and if so, did time or any other remedies solve this issue? I would greatly appreciate any and all input.

Wolff Parkinson White - SVT - Untreatable.
They’re discussing using prepafenone or
amiodarone
if the digoxin doesn’t work effectively to control her regular SVT episodes.

Thyrotoxicosis
Has anyone else had this side effect of
amiodarone
(I’m sure that’s what caused it)? Or a thyroid issue? Thanks - Nick

Amiodarone Clinical Trials for low dose medication
I take 200mg maintenance of Amio daily and became intrigued as to what was a low dose? After some research i realised that the majority of trials were decades of years old, some of which had few sampling numbers but that 200mg was being quoted as a "small" maintenance dose. Then i came across a relatively

Backed off on the Amiodarone and went back into AF. What are my options?
I was started on
Amiodarone
to convert me out of AF. 800 mg/day for three days converted me. Was given a green light to halve it but began waking up at 4 am with a bad headache and other side effects. Was told to stop for a day or so and then halve it again, but I took another day off.

Lowest maintenance dosage of Amiodarone daily?
Wondering, too, if I can simply stay off the
Amiodarone
until Monday? So far, still in NSR. Clearly, this med is not being well tolerated by me. Ablation scheduled for October 3.

Newbie
Just started
amiodarone
yesterday. Instruction leaflet scared the living daylights out of me! Day 2 now and so far so good. Main issue for me is that I have been permanently knackered for about 2 years! Cardioversion planned in next couple of months.

RECENTLY DIAGNOSED WITH HEART FAILURE
He is on
Amiodarone
, furosamide and amlodipine. He is also diabetic - Type 2, diagnosed 12 years ago. The last few days he seemed to have a lot more energy but today he says he feels like he has butterflies in his chest. His heart rate is irregular and he doesn't have any energy.

Failed cardioversion
I had a failed cardioversion two months ago and had
amiodarone
added to my list of medications to help. I had another cardioversion yesterday and although it worked this morning the AF is back. I have put a call in to the cardiologist but am now feeling quite disheartened.

Worried
Recovering from severe heart failure diognosed back in April.Feeling better now but have gained enlarged heart and irregular heart beat.On all usual meds exept Digoxin has been replaced with
Amiodarone
before one more cardio version. All seems ok but the picture looks a bit bleak due to my EF being impaired

Afib & cardioversion
Converted rather quickly with metoprolol and
amiodarone
. Its now returned ànd the drugs have not converted it to normal sinus rhythm and are wanting to do an electro- cardioversion. Should I skip this and just elect for an ablation?

Post cryoablation- anxiety
I was on flecinaide and then had 2 cardioversions, one worked very briefly while on
Amiodarone
. I went back into NSR and then it converted on it's own. Month later, back in AFib. I guess I have drug resistant (
Amiodarone
) paroxysmal AFib and just had cryoablation 4 days ago.

One month post ablation
He prescribed
Amiodarone
, which I queried because this is a medication that I wanted to avoid. I have not been 'pre-loaded' and it is a low dose (200mg). I have to admit: my palpitations have stopped and I am in NSR. Thanks doc!

Afib, Flecainide and Exercise
Then I suffered Afib which lasted two months before returning to normal after
Amiodarone
. Since then on Flecainide and had two mini episodes 2 and 5 hours. Now I find its is taking me 5 minutes longer to do the same distance and I have to keep stopping as I feel I've given my all.

Atrial Fibrillation/Blood Pressure Meds Connections
Doc put me on
Amiodarone
. Other meds include BP meds, some of witch cause "irregular" beats. Interested in AF as related to "irregular" hearts beats. Suspect BP meds are causing problems resulting in AF. Anyone ran into these issues or connected BP meds/AF?

Stopped Pills - Heart went back to sinus rhythm
I still take my Warfarin (always will) and Levothyroxine for an underactive thyroid - which you may remember was caused by my taking
Amiodarone
. I have known for quite a while that some fillers in pills don't agree with me.
