New Drug Regime
I was very nervous when he mentioned
Amiodarone
as I have read so many horror stories about it but he said he will only keep me on it for a couple of months. I’m also going onto Atenolol and staying on Digoxin (and stopping Sotalol).

Amiodarone anyone?
After several medications failed to bring my heart back, they started me on a medication called
Amiodarone
. Worked great. I came to the ER at 8 am with afib and bpm ranging from 140 to 180 which lasted 14 hours. Nothing worked until they gave me this.

4 months post RF ablation
I have now been off the
Amiodarone
for a week, although remain on the Bisoprolol, Ramipril, etc. I now have to wait for the
Amiodarone
to wash out of my body before I know for sure that the ablation has cured my arrhythmia and that it is not just the
Amiodarone
.

Amiodarone
My question and concern is the side effects of
Amiodarone
which I have read about. Even though I may only be on it for 6 to 8 months I am really concerned about things like thyroid, liver, kidney, lung problems etc from taking it.

Post Cryoablation - event monitor
I'm 90 days post ablation and about to put on a 30 day Event monitor at the same time I stop
Amiodarone
. Any insight about what to expect for wearing the monitor, as well as stopping the medication? TIA

Advice Needed for Heart Rate Monitoring During Exercise
(Was on
Amiodarone

Ablation Denied!
They again submitted the necessary medical documents on my behalf and a week later, I got a letter denying my request, citing that my drug therapy (I'm on 200 mg of
Amiodarone
and Pradaxa) was sufficient to handle my AF.

Amiodarone and shingles vaccination
On the nhs website it says. 1 in 10000 chance of this reaction but do you think
amiodarone
has increased this and would I be infectious? Sorry for the length of my explanation!

Post-ablation progress
If my heart function remains good after stopping the
amiodarone
, then all is well. If the ectopics return then I expect to be given the option of choosing between continuing with
amiodarone
or having a pace and ablate.

Exeter AF Meeting and Amiodarone Damage
How many others are there out there, still undiagnosed with thyroid damage after taking
Amiodarone
/Cordarone, who like me thought the dreadful tiredness they experienced was caused by their AF? What are your thoughts please? Jean

Amiodarone and PSP?
The neurologist says his symptoms are not a result of
Amiodarone
, but I have read many articles saying they could be related. Has anyone taken
Amiodarone
?

Svt’s and Afib
I have had multaq, tioksen,
amiodarone
, flecainide. I now am on metropolol, fosinopril, and eliquis. I have read on this site where people are on bisoroil and soidoil? My cardiologist is taking the conservative approach. Says the Eliquis is the best defense.

10 weeks post ablation
So, I’ve been taking
amiodarone
now 200mg per day for two weeks and so far so good..... until yesterday. The ectopics started first thing then the monster AF kicked in and lasted for around 8 1/2 hrs. I had my hopes up so high after no major ‘episodes’ in two weeks, then this.
