Status Update Post-atrial Cardioäblation:
Had rapid atrial quivering/fibrillation develop in Feb '21 while I was focused on avoiding a second heart attack after having had a major one 9½ years earlier. Got put on meds to see if AFib could be managed that way but worsened to the point that by Aug, my heart was tracked at 244 BPM and I'd collapsed

Re earlier post on different forum.
A thorax CT in September identified coronary artery disease. An angiogram in November verified extent of above as moderate to severe calcification in the LAD vessel. You would have thought drug therapy would have commenced immediately to prevent either a stroke or heart attack but NO, it wasn’t until

Pains post heart attack
Three weeks after major heart attack and three stents fitted, I’m still getting the odd pain in my heart region. Sometimes I get a little pain in my heart while taking a deep breath. Sometimes it’s just a single pain and it goes and sometimes four or five pains each time I breathe. It was more so in

Is this angina?
Hi all, I was diagnosed with afib 3 years ago and have mentioned to several medics (cardiologists, arrhythmia nurses) that I occasionally had slight heart aches when exercising or stressed, but none of them seem concerned. Afib does not seem to be related to heart pain - so I'm not sure whether the

8 days post ablation
What a week?! I had an RF ablation at the start of last week but felt, what I thought, was excessive pain in my chest (particularly when lying on my back) 2/3 days after but just stuck with it thinking it was a standard recovery symptom for RF as I’d only had cryo done before. However on Thursday night

Anxiety over NHS heart attack radio adverts
Is anyone else’s health anxiety getting worse after these NHS heart attack early warning adverts? I feel like how they describe all the time! And lately I’ve been getting all those symptoms every few hours, every day - hard beats, chest pain/tightness, left sided jaw, shoulder, neck, arm ache. The works

Chest Pain, fear of heart attack.
Hi, I’m 20 year old man. I’ve suffered with anxiety a while but like don’t want to blow this off to it but it could be. So I had this sudden crushing chest pain 2 days ago, went into instant panic attack. Sat down with my mum and could talk and walk around but was fearing I was having a heart attack.

Convinced I'm dying
Hi there, I'm new to the group and stumbled upon it by of course using Dr. Google. I'm grateful I found this forum as it has put my mind at ease. I have suffered from health related anxiety and ocd but went off of meds about a yr ago as things seemed to be doing OK. About 10 days ago I wound up in the

Why Was Artane Discontinued in the US?
Artane, from its description, would appear to be of great benefit to those PWPs who are developing poor muscle control, like me, in just trying to walk. Legs are getting weaker and weaker even though I do exercise on an elliptical, rowing machine and recumbent bike. Is this drug available in the UK

Odd feeling
Does anyone experience this? Every so often (maybe once every three weeks) I’m settling down to sleep when I get a strange vibrating sort of feeling in my eyes, head and body. It’s a bit scary. It only lasts about 5-10 seconds but I lay there thinking, am I having a stroke? Heart attack? ... It’s not

Is twitching when sleeping a sign of AF?
My husband is 8 weeks post NSTEMI heart attack which brought on AFib, he has had 3 episodes of AF since two of which happened as he was sleeping and woke him. He never had AF before the heart attack. He now twitches and jerks in his sleep several times a week, he never used to before the heart attack
