Three weeks after major heart attack and three stents fitted, I’m still getting the odd pain in my heart region. Sometimes I get a little pain in my heart while taking a deep breath. Sometimes it’s just a single pain and it goes and sometimes four or five pains each time I breathe. It was more so in the few days after my heart attack. I don’t know if it’s because I’m more aware of feelings in my heart area or what. Things are much easier now my palpitations have been reduced dramatically after replacing bisoporol with a different beta blocker called solotol which is brilliant. Does anyone else think that another heart attack could happen anytime like me? Its not good expecting this to happen all the time. This was my second heart attack.

Pains post heart attack
I was exactly the same Dave. The day after my angioplasty I woke up with a dull ache around my heart.
An ECG and echocardiogram were done and everything was deemed to be fine and I was told it was the bruising from the procedure I could feel.
In my case it lasted for around three months, all the time I could feel my heart.
It was worrying to say the least.
On saying that my view is that I had a brilliant service and MOT on my heart and that I can now get on and enjoy my life.
How are you feeling now? it is not unknown to experience some pain, however, if the pain continues or changes its important to check with your doctor. Do you have a follow-up appointment with your cardiologist in the near future? You should receive regular checkups in the first 12 months. Take care
