I also have alpha 1 antitrypsin deficiency. Triple whammy! I’ve been on Azathioprine and Urso for many years as I was diagnosed early. I’m fortunate that my liver results are within the normal range and I have minimal fibrosis.

My other readings that are out of range are; creatinine (low), Immunoglobulin G (high), Globulin (high), total protein (high), ANCA IIF Screen: ANCA Immunofluorescence - positive pANCA PATTERN, and Alpha-1 Antitrypsin (low).

There is no deposition of copper, copper associated protein, alpha-1 antitrypsin material or siderosis.

I'm waiting for the actual result but the GP has said my alpha 1 antitrypsin levels are very low, indicating deficiency and the test has gone to the genetics lab.

A PAS with diastase is negative for alpha-1-antitrypsin inclusions. A reticulin stain shows a maintained architecture. A Prussian Blue stains is negative for siderosis. For additional findings, see template in comment section. The control tissues are staining appropriately.

After 5 months Diagnosed as alpha 1 antitrypsin deficiency. Informed that liver would not improve and would require a transplant. Following this I decided to stay positive and accept that would be the outcome needed to extend and improve my quality of life.

I was diagnosed with alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency over 2 years ago. I now have emphysema and high white blood cell count. But my doctor says I no longer have alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency. Is this possible??

Hi, I recently read an article about someone with fibromyalgia who said Celadrin cream really helped them with their stiff muscles. I then did some reading of my own about it and found that celadrin works best when combined with glucosamine sulphate. Has anyone tried either of these for their fibro?

The liver doc ordered many blood tests (Hep AB&C, Smooth Muscle Antibody, Ferritin, Lipase, Antinuclear antibody, Alpha-1-Antitrypsin, Celiac, GGT and Mitochondrial antibody). All normal except Anti Mitochondrial (AMA) positive with readings of 38 and 30 (normal is under 20).

hi all, does anyone have any knowledge of low alpha-1 antitrypsin I had some blood tests and all of the bloods were normal accept a slight low level of this. So I have to have another blood test next week.i made the mistake of looking on Google and it doesn't sound good at all
