Just wondered if any ladies on here might have experienced this? I'm not blaming the addition of T3 as it could be related to B Vitamins and or a change in HRT estrogen patch or even a decline in t4 to t3 conversion when reducing levothyroxine to 225mcg from 250mcg. Or naybe all of these things?

Post Menopause Bleeding when adding T3 or B Vits or change in Levo dose?

I would mention this to your GP, as you should be offered an ultrasound to check on uterus/ ovaries with ANY post menopausal bleeding. Vast majority of cases are absolutely nothing to worry about, but it’s always best to check.
Hi Buddy. I did ring them and they said probably due to various changes in medication and have booked me in for a routine appointment in a months time. I did ask them to check this out with someone medically trained!
The majority of post meno bleeds when using HRT is down to changing doses or brands. Having said that, any bleeding post menopause should be checked out with the GP who will decide if it needs further investigation on the 2 week referral pathway.
A receptionist should NOT be diagnosing you over the phone. They don't have the training to do this at all. Please call them back and say you're having post menopausal bleeding and want it checked out ASAP
Thanks Jingley. Apparently the receptionist checked with someone medically qualified. Last time this happened I was dealt with as you described. When she offered me an appointment in a months time I said...oh not urgent then? She said no due to multiple medication changes which would've been the addition of T3, reduction in Levothyroxine and addition of Iron, B12 etc
Ah sorry. Your post read as if it was the receptionist that had decided it wasn't urgent. (I have a thing about receptionists deciding what's best for our health 😡)
You're doing the right thing getting it checked out 🙂
Still, this nonsensical ‘intervention’ is unlikely to be recorded on your notes. It’s just not good enough to take this sort of advice at face value. Make your appointment and get ‘opinion’ noted. I think you will find the protocol involves more than opinion.

It is well known that changing estrogen dose or product can cause a bleed. I wouldn't worry too much, gp might still send you for ultrasound.I did use to have slight bleeds when still in perimenopause, when I would increase my T3 dose. Doesn't happen now post menopause
