New results after being discharged by endocrinologist.
Hi I will add my previous post but I will also give a quick recap: I first came on with low T4 levels but TSH in range. The doctors did regular tests saying it wasn't being tested properly. I eventually got referred to an endocrinologist. After a while of more testing I was discharged and told that

Hi everyone, After being underdosed on 25mcg of Levothyroxine for almost a decade, my new GP increased my dose to 50mcg around 6 months ago. The increase was done slowly over 6 weeks, as advised by people in this group. I had some blood tests done two days ago and today I got a message from the GP saying

Reducing thyroxine from 100 mcg to 75 mcg
My recent blood test is: FT4 18.4 (range 7.9-14.4) FT3 6.6 (range 3.8-6.0) TSH <0.02. My TSH always seems to be this no matter what dose I’m on. I was on 150 mcg years ago and have been gradually reducing my dose mainly because of my TSH when other results were in range. In 2023 my FT4 went above range

Is it known for Electromagnetic Field Radiation (EMF) to increase TSH whilst still having normal T4 and T3 levels?
Hi, I know a lot of people say that electromagnetic fields are generally not a risk, but what if someone is exposed to it constantly throughout the day without any fresh air, surrounded by computers and other equipment quite close to your body? Can this increase and play havoc with your TSH number

Suppressed TSH again!
I have an appointment with my endo tomorrow and I have just got a print out of my NHS test results ( only TSH and T4 tested). I followed all recommended protocol for this test which was at 9am. I currently take Levothyroxine (Teva) of 100mcg. I have Hashimotos (diagnosed about 5 years ago) TSH: 0.20

bizarre turnaround
hello! I posted here about a month ago complaining of lots of issues; dry skin, falling out hair etc, irritable, over emotional. My TSH was 0.8 and lower range T3, ok range T4. Since then I’ve lost 5lbs (diet and exercises) started taking vitamin b complex, vitamin d and a general health vitamin

Blood results- T3 levels consistent? Can I improve them?
Hello, Despite feeling overall better for some time I started feeling too regularly worse again. I suspected low T3 (perimenopause also possible). Yep, my T3 is on the lower end of ‘normal’. These are my results: TSH 1.53 mlU/L (norm 0.27-4.2) Free T4 15.6 pmol/L. (12.0-22.0) Free

Thyroid Specialists and Endocrinologists
Please could someone resend me the list of thyroid specialists. I'm about to get next lot of private blood tests but last one showed poor conversion of T4 to T3. NHS Endo appointment has been moved on to another 6 months time and am really struggling with symptoms. Funds are limited but worried that

Bank Holiday fun (not!)
Evening all, hope those of you in the UK have had a good bank holiday weekend. Mine could have been better… I ended up in A&E on Saturday night with a racing heart (at times around 150bpm) after none of the tricks I’d read about would bring it down below 100. And when they tested my blood pressure

Pregnant?!
So we decided to start trying for a baby. Having T1D, endometriosis and adenomyosis, I researched everything from surrogacy to IVF fully expecting this to be impossible for us. This morning I decided to take a random pregnancy test (I don’t seem to have menstrual cycles presently) and OMG it was positive

First Private Blood Test
This is my first post to this excellent website, and I hope someone can help me understand my first private blood test - fasting, last levothyroxine 26 hours previously. No B12 supplement for three weeks prior to the test. I did find it difficult to get sufficient blood, this being my second attempt

Adding T3
Hi everyone, I decided to trial a little T3(which I received today) to add to my daily levo dose of 125mcg.I've been on every dose of Levo from 100 to 150 but T3 levels don't change much and though I'm greatly improved a few hypo symptoms linger about. The T3 are 25mcg and I was thinking of starting with
