allergy question
i have amoungst other allegies, an allergy to dogs. i work in a lab and last week was using dog serum. i am sure i had a reaction to this (sneezing, itchy eyes, PF down) but work's OHA seems to think that serum would not cause a problem. Does anyone here have any experiance of being allergic to dog blood

Asthma, hayfever and steoid tablets
I was gonna put this under another thread for hayfever but didn't seem right. My asthma has got worse because of the horrible pollen, on days when the pollen count has been moderate or high i've struggled more than when it was low (mainly at the weekend when it was raining). I'm due to see doctor at

Xolaire and allergies
Hi Just a quick question. I'm on xolaire been on it for 10 weeks now and I seem to becoming more sensative to allegens. For example, I'm more rashy and itchy generally. I had a bad rash after wearing a pair of socks (which I've worn before) and today I'm covered in an allergy rash from goodness knows

PEFR meters
Sorry but I was just wondering if anyone knew what the normal limits are for PEFR meters, are they between 80% and 120% of the estimated values, ie. taking height and weight into consideration or do they change with the severity of asthma? I noticed reading my notes that different allergies can affect

allergies
Hi, I'm new to this, so don't know if I'm in the right area - if not - sorry! I have a problem, I have severe/brittle asthma, am a diabetic on insulin & have had a lifelong (well, since a baby) allergy to dairy products & eggs. I have now been diagnosed with a wheat allergy as well & am having reactions

Allergy testing
hi Im planning to get an allergy test done and have it done privately as my doctors seem to think it would not be beneficial to test everything and find more than i already know of? Is this true has anyone managed to find their asthma trigger by doing this. Im thinking that there is something in what

Yucky question
Why when I wake up in the morning, do I often find my nose blocked with red snuffles. Its as if I've had a thick nose bleed in the night but - judging by the amount when I blow my nose (sorry, folks)- its all got clogged somewhere further up inside. No marks on pillow or anything. Found Singulair helped

Chronic/Status Asthmaticus/Singulair
Hi Anyone got any advice....or experience of similar... Initially I had a few attacks that resulted in A&E, the usual, but nothing earth shattering in the autumn! This progresed to getting more and more out of control, yet the attacks once on nebuliser etc then calm down quite quickly after a few doses

Non-Drowsy hayfever tablets
On the advice of my asthma nurse,I was recommended to try using hayfever tablets during the Spring and Summer months and I dont know if its just my system but if those ""non drowsy"" tablets are non drowsy ,I would hate to think how drowsy the drowsy ones are??!!

Hayfever - Tree Pollen & Traffic Pollution
The idea of link between hayfever and pollution is a popular one, and it owes much to research done in Japan, where public disquiet over air polution is unusually high. Concerned about the soaring rates of allergy to Japanese cedar pollen, the predominant form of hay fever in Japan, Shigeru Takafuji

Hayfever/asthma query
So as usual it's the summer, there's lots of grass pollen about (I'm ridiculously allergic) and my hayfever is a nightmare. Unfortunately if affects my asthma something rotten which isn't anything new, it's done it the past 2 years. I've just got some singulair prescribed so that should hopefully kick

Extreme Allergies
I have a very bad allergy to the evil creature CATS. Yesterday, I went for lunch in a pub which had a reputation for very good food. They had a cat wandering around the pub, totally against Health Policy where food is served. The evil creature came towards me and I, strongly shooed it away. The Landlady
