Recently diagnosed - glue ear too
Hi. My 3 year old has recently been diagnosed with asthma. Main/only real symptom being a cough, (until recently) mainly at night. I've identified that house dust mite is a probable trigger, but I think this is not the only one. I feel really lost in trying to work out triggers, I'm sure I will get

Antihistamines and hangovers
After a pure party trip to spain, my friend told me that allergy meds (antihistamines) made hangovers go away. I am on antihistamines year round due to dust and mold allergies, and allergy induced asthma. I have never had a hangover. Is that because i take allergy meds every day? or do i just not get

Allergy question
Can anyone tell me what ""poly"" means in ""polysensitive""? A letter from the allergy clinic says I'm ""polysensitive"" to areoallergens. It doesn't really matter as I'm too allergic to too many things for them to to anything, unless things get a lot worse. I just want to understand what he means.

Re: Hayfever
I've gone back to Boots Hayfever Relief tablets. Might not work or even be good for everyone* but works for me. No more headache-y feeling. *Check with your GP.

Do allergies mellow with age?!
I was chatting yesterday with a friend I have known for about 20 years. She has allergy related asthma like myself and sometimes we stop to chat to see how the other is getting on. She is a very active lady in her seventies and I was fascinated to hear from her that her allergies seem to be much less

Allergies to penicilin and cefalexin?
Hi there, does anyone else out there have allergies to these antibiotics? My 3 year old had an allergic reaction to penicillin back in Jan when being treated for pneumonia. He then went on to take Clarithromycin (sp?!) and tolerated that fine. However this past week he needed antibiotics for an ear infection

Always been on different antihistamines and nasal sprays, recent inhalers like ventolin, serevent and beclometasone and also singulair

allergy question
i have amoungst other allegies, an allergy to dogs. i work in a lab and last week was using dog serum. i am sure i had a reaction to this (sneezing, itchy eyes, PF down) but work's OHA seems to think that serum would not cause a problem. Does anyone here have any experiance of being allergic to dog blood
