Medications and food to avoid, applies to most of us who has RLS. This is taken from the www.rlshelp.org website..
The newer, non-sedating antihistamines,
Allegra
, Zyrtec and Claritin are generally better (and some RLS patients can take these without problems), but can be just as bad as the over the counter medications.

Summer, Allergies, and RLS-how it affects us
If I have a day when the pollen affects me, I take prescription
Allegra
(fexofenadine) and that does not bother my RLS at all. I also know from talking to many people that Claritin (Loratadine) is not bothersome to RLS, generally.

Food reactions. APS causes?
Hi, everyone. I'm sorry if this question has already been addressed here. I'm wondering if any of you with APS suffers with severe food reactions? I've read, with APS, that many people have developed food and / or environmental allergies when they never had any, or had very few, due to the autoimmune

Caravan holiday trigger advice
My 20 year old daughter is in hospital at the moment. We didn't realise she had asthma until she was diagnosed with acute severe asthma earlier today. She's speaking to the specialist tomorrow and so I was wondering whether there are any specific issues she could raise in regards to triggers? The only

PEFR meters
Sorry but I was just wondering if anyone knew what the normal limits are for PEFR meters, are they between 80% and 120% of the estimated values, ie. taking height and weight into consideration or do they change with the severity of asthma? I noticed reading my notes that different allergies can affect

Allergy testing
hi Im planning to get an allergy test done and have it done privately as my doctors seem to think it would not be beneficial to test everything and find more than i already know of? Is this true has anyone managed to find their asthma trigger by doing this. Im thinking that there is something in what

Yucky question
Why when I wake up in the morning, do I often find my nose blocked with red snuffles. Its as if I've had a thick nose bleed in the night but - judging by the amount when I blow my nose (sorry, folks)- its all got clogged somewhere further up inside. No marks on pillow or anything. Found Singulair helped

Exercise induced asthma now getting worse
I have had excercise induced asthma for the last 20 years which has always been under control using a blue inhaler (salbutomal) immediatel prior to exercise. In the last 3-4 months the blue inhaler has stopped working and in addition I now have breathing issues when not exercising. I have been to see

Hi I hope everyone has had a good Christmas. I am currently waiting for the results of an Allergy Blood Test. The GP said the overall Allergy Test came back negative but he is waiting for the results of the House Dust Mite Test. Does anyone know how accurate these tests are? and if negative does

Dysfunctional/Distorted Breathing;Asthma Please help me
Had asthma since I was 2 with at its best 2 attacks per year which prednisolone would clear up. Recently it has changed and I can't seem to get rid of this breathlessness with no wheezing. Was in hospital earlier in year and had various tests including the heart and thankfully they were ok, it was

General confusion!
I've already ranted about this...a lot, so feel free to completely ignore if I'm just banging on. I'm not asking for medical advice, it's not urgent and all the drs know about it plus the nurse I saw this morning for allergy test (as I was feeling dizzy then - not related to test). Basically: dizziness
