Asthma and covid
So my sister (who I live with) has tested positive for Covid. I’m guessing it’s quite likely that I have it or am going to get it, but should I start increasing my inhalers as a preventative measure? How have people with asthma coped with covid? I’m not overly worried, my asthma is relatively well controlled

Should I take my prescribed Carbocisteine medication
I am a new member recently diagnosed I have a mild Bronchiectasis condition recently diagnosed. It has little effect on my normal daily walking regime 5-6 miles x 5 days a week-I do not become breathless but my once 9-10 miles per day is no longer possible as I tire more quickly- I have no apparent lung

Weird Breathlessness
I'm not sure if its normal or not, I assume not, but recently I've become more aware that after I take my meds morning and evening I'm a little bit breathless. Its not a new thing its been ongoing for a number of months, and its nothing major, just a bit of discomfort more than anything, and it eases

Hi all hope you are ok. Apologies if this has been asked before. I have had an appointment with my asthma nurse yesterday and she has prescribed Fostair 100/6 2 puffs twice a day as I am still waking up coughing in the night and have been coughing on and off over the last few weeks on a night (unsure

How long for seretide 250 to take full effect?
Hi I've recently been diagnosed with Gerd and ashtma after a viral. I've been on the seretide 250 for two weeks using it with an aero chamber. I was previously on fostair 100 but was taking it the maximum amount each day so my doctor tried me on this. I'm also taking montekulast which helps I think but

Home Nebs 🫁 - they may help improve QoL in severe asthmatics, but are they safe?! Everything you need to know!
Hi everyone. Another infomercial for you all! Hopefully this will be relatively short (but you know me... they never are 😅), and it’ll definitely shorten my next post (add-ons from consultants)! So here we go... Home nebs are almost always frowned upon by consultants (and definitely disapproved of by

Asthma or bronchiectasis???
Hello all, I've had mild asthma all my life but the last few years it has become difficult to control with the regular inhalers. Bronchitis- prednison events 3 times a year. Last winter I was put on nebuliser (corticosteroids plus extra saline) treatment, and that really helps. After much delay earlier

Asthma General Enquiry
Hi, I am being treated for asthma as I have the classic symptoms - shortness of breath, tight chest, difficulty getting a satisfying yawn. I have had the blue inhaler for a few years - and my peak flow sits at ~330 before and after using this. I have used the brown inhaler for a few years but it doesn't

Help and advice needed for son
My son is nearly 11 and I’m writing to see if anyone might have had similar issues to him and for advice. Both my husband and I are really concerned about him. My son was hospitalised twice aged 5 with classic asthma symptoms (wheezing, unable to breathe) and has taken a preventer inhaler since. Now,

Asthma with Significant Heart Failure
I was diagnosed with Significant Heart Failure, Paroxysmal Atrial Fibrillation, Mitral Valve Regurgitation, Ischaemic Heart Disease, Dilated left atrial in 2017. I was prescribed preventative medication; Apixaban, Bisoprolol, Isosorbide Mononitrate, Simvastatin. In February this year I was put on Amlodipine

Trimbow
Has anyone had any success using Trimbow inhaler. It really helped me with breathlessness for my COPD but unfortunately it made me feel really nauseous so had to return to old regime if Fostair, Respirimat and Ventolin. Thanks

Fostair Nexthaler
I am new to all this. I was diagnosed in 2017 with ischemic heart disease and heart failure. I have developed a terrible cough. I get it some of the time. The GP visited me the other day and said he thought I had late onset asthma and gave me Fostair Nexthaler to try and I've to phone him in a couple

6 Months+ of Asthma Issues
Hi all, This is something of a ramble, but I feel like I'm at the end of my tether. At the end of May I had several severe asthma attacks and I still don't feel right over half a year later. In the immediate aftermath of the attacks, I was given prednisone to help get the inflammation down and since
