Orgovyx Insurance Approval
If I have to do
ADT
(12 months), I would like to take the one less likely to cause serious cardio issues. Express Scripts has issued a denial which I intend to appeal.

Inspiration
I encourage those who have the desire and energy level but low T knocked out by
ADT
, not give up trying to stay fit.

PSA still low but cancer progressing
I've been on
ADT
plus Xtandi for about a year (see my profile) and my PSA has steadily reduced and stayed low. However, my latest CT scan shows that the tumours on my bones and lymph nodes are increasing in size and there are now a few small lesions appearing in my liver for the first time.

Would I be on thin ice if I tried adaptive ADT this soon?
After 6 weeks on Lupron and 9 days on abiraterone, my PSA was .1, and my testosterone was <1. This is within the criteria being used to start people on adaptive in this MCSPC Moffitt study with Jingsong Yang - (he says I can just follow the protocol without being in the study)https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov

RO Advice for Salvage Rad
However, he wants do the SRT w/o
ADT
. His rationale is that if we do
ADT
concurrently, there's no way to tell if the SRT was working. Plus, he says that if the SRT fails, then I'll be in the same boat with
ADT
anyway, so why not wait?

testosterone boosters after ADT?
I finished SBRT in September and a six month course of
ADT
in March. I asked my endocrinologist about zinc and Vitamin D to aid T recovery, and he said it probably wouldn’t help, but won’t hurt anything. I saw some “testosterone support” from Wieder at the store and am considering it.

Aetna appeal for Firmagon denial
The doctor prescribed 2 years of
ADT
plus 5 weeks of IMRT. Had first 240 mg dose of firmagon on September 14 with no major side effects so far. Doctor used firmagon to avoid testosterone surge, and after conferring with MO, he agreed to have my husband stay with the firmagon.

Psa doubled in less than a month
I previously did
ADT
then orchiectomy and when PSA began to rise again it was decided that I was castrate resistant. I have an appointment with Dr Aggerwal at UCSF in a little more than a month and CT and bone scans on the 16th of this month.

Tests in regard to treatment
Hi Folks, After RP ~6 months ago with persistent PSA > .15, I've begun
ADT
using Orgovyx, and salvage pelvic RT. When should I expect that my RO will order testing, and for what? For example blood tests for PSA & testosterone.

Another Cialis Question
Anyway, since there’s still a ways to go on this
ADT
journey, I wanted to see if he should be back on Cialis again.

PSA down but mets increasing?
I've been on
ADT
+ Xtandi for about a year (see my Bio for details) and my PSA has been slowly and steadily reducing over that time - now down to 0.05.

how fit can one be on ADT and abiraterone?
I have been on Lupron and abiraterone for less than two months and I have gone from doing 50 consecutive push ips to 10. I am slim on KETO diet but am disenchanted with the lack of ability to maintain any muscle. How much strength can be maintained on these meds?

Testosterone post ADT
My t level is coming back very slowly following salvage radiation + 6 months
ADT
. I’m 60 years old and after nearly 18 months still have difficulty gaining muscle mass and losing this gut. The good news is my PSA is still undetectable. Any suggestions?

Update on my father
He’s been on
ADT
- Eligard shots every 3 months and prednisone + zytiga everyday. It’s challenging as I work with him and see all the ins and outs of his behaviour while on those meds. He remains undetectable on the psa scale as of now (<0.02) Diagnosis in 2019 .

Heme iron versus ferrous gluconate
ADT
causes the symptoms of anemia & some GPs respond by recommending iron. Myers was fed up at one point about the number of patients who had way too much iron - thanks to their GPs. As Myers says: men don't bleed, at least not on a monthly cycle.

CT and Bone Scan 2 weeks after PSMA PET?
My argument was to start
ADT
and salvage radiation ASAP, but maybe I'm missing something here. What is the benefit of waiting and doing another: 1) CT/Bone Scan after a PSMA PET 2 weeks ago, and 2) another PSA test after a week?

Maddening Contradictory Advice
Latest update on my still hormone sensitive lymph nodes-only but widespread metastatic cancer is the Dexa scan showing I now have Osteopenia (no doubt occasioned by
ADT
regimen and lack of Testosterone).

Vacation time again
We decided to follow the original plan of intermittent
ADT
and I’m starting another
ADT
vacation. This round of
ADT
had started with minimal SE’s but in the last month or so it’s gotten worse. My energy level has noticeably decreased and the hot flashes have noticeably increased.
